San Diego is probably my favorite city in California, but as a whole I think NorCal > SoCal.

Is Carmel By The Sea and Santa Cruz considered NorCal or SoCal?

i'd personally consider it norcal. i think once you get to SLO, it starts to become socal, if you had to choose a cut-off point.

As a New Yorker California looks like paradise if you could just wipe out the entire population and government and start from scratch.

Why is their a picture of the New York Skyline vs Los Angeles in the OP?

I live in the Bay Area and like it way more than LA. If I was going to move to So Cal it would be in San Diego.

People thinking nor cal is just SF. Nor Cal is so diverse with beaches, redwoods, wine country, farmland etc

Socal is meh to me. Give me the cold NorCal forests and beaches any day.

Meh!
Everybody knows Central Cali is where it's at!
What up, Fresno! Yo, Sacramento! Let's hear it for Bakersfield!!!
Woop Woop!!
