One of these 6 teams will be in the national title game: Gonzaga, Xavier, Wisconsin, Florida, Baylor, South Carolina

Good thing uk was the overall #2 seed. Could of had this muderers row path:

North Dakota, Saint Mary's, Xavier, Gonzaga, and Baylor/USCjr/Wisc/UF

Rather than:

NKU, Witchita State, UCLA, UNC, Kansas

Looks like this is still sean miller's one shining moment

I wonder if a team has ever beaten the top 3 seeds in their region to get to the Final Four. Maybe George Mason in 06 or VCU in 2011?
I don't think we're beating Wisconsin without Egbunu so I'm hoping for a Kentucky/UW rubber match. As long as it's anyone but Gonzaga, Kansas, or UNC.

Ucla and kentucky's path to the championship is astronomically harder than anyone else in the sweet 16, kinda ridiculous. You could make the argument that Kentucky would have the best run all time if they went all the way.

We had to beat both Duke and UNC on our way to the title game in 2000.

If the 2014 team didn't play some shitty 8 seed program in teh championship, this graph would be even more of a landslide.

St. Joes, Villanova, Iowa State, Michigan State, Florida, Kentucky.

MSU and Florida overwhelming favorites to win the title. 4 current/future Hall of Fame coaches Jay Wright, Izzo, Billy Donovan, Calipari (Hoiberg had solid teams at ISU, Martelli has been at SJU forever)... This is by far the hardest gauntlet any team has faced to win a title.

We lucked out big time in 06 when George Mason beat UConn.

Forgot about that potential F4 matchup. Wouldve been an intriguing game with Rudy Gay and co. vs that stacked UF team... although da Gayta seemed destined to win that year.
