I've chimed in on this topic a few times but here's the latest update.

My youngest son (he's a twin) who's been in the hospital since his birth May 22nd, is having major surgery tomorrow to correct and repair his esophagus.

I'm ready. The emotions I feel right now are like a hybrid of euphoria/anxiety/happiness/worry all in one big pile of optimistic but guarded hope.

The procedure is 8-12 hours long. I'm hoping to give everyone a positive update. I attempted to upload a picture but every single time I do a note pops up that the file is too large. It's a single picture lol

Other than this he is very healthy and alert. He's grown from under 4lbs to a healthy chubby 12 lbs.

Tomorrow is the most important day of my life.

@Cajun @Lubaolong @Tonycpa @HulkonViagra and any others I missed.

You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. Your son got this! And WOW! at those natty gains!

Hoping all is well with your son and family...I once was in a similar scary situation with my son so I know the feeling.

Everything will be good bud

godspeed and all the best to your son and your family

He has pure esophageal atresia. His case is about 1 in 100,000. The medical team is ready to go. Tomorrow at 8am the longest day of my life begins.

God bless you and yours Sherbro.

I'll be praying for you all!

Ive had both of my twins in the hospital for operations too (one almost died). Hang in there, I know its stressful I have the white hair to show for it. Best advice I can give you, make sure that EVERYTHING outside of your son is taken care of so you can focus on your son. You dont need any other stress, thats enough.

Best wishes to you and your son. I sincerely hope everything goes well.

All the best to you and your son.

Positive thoughts your way Jim.
Thanks, dude. I remember hearing the news something was wrong right before the Hawaii trip in February. So we've had to deal with a whole slew of ranges that could apply to his condition since then. He's exceeded all of them, unfortunately, human nature has hard-wired us to worry about our kids when they are sick no matter how severe the circumstances.

Healing thoughts and well wishes to you and your family, my Sherdogger brethren. Peace and calm to you, as best as you can receive it.

I can only imagine.

Not sure if I mentioned before but my wife and I also welcomed twins this past summer. Identical boys born on June 25th. There was a minor complication with twin B but I’ll say that the hospital staff were absolutely incredible. I can only assume the level of care out in the GTA is similar. I’m sure your boy is in good hands. He’s obviously thriving well, chubbing out at 12 lbs.

Praying for a quick recovery so that you can finally have him at home.
