My first successful tomahawk

I was kind of expecting

For some reason I was expecting a Mohawk. Clearly I didn't read the thread title correctly.

That's pretty damn cool. Just need the flare now.
Don't actually want to much flare, I just want to get better at forging to shape . Really like the frontier/forged look , is my end goal

Great job! You must have a great sense of accomplishment. I certainly would.
I've made nicer and better knives but tomahawks were where my interest started so even though it's very flawed it's my favourite knife/tool I've made

Forging my favourite part, I have heaps of unfinished projects lying around that need to be finished

I hear ya. Lots of things I would love to get into but I don't really have the time, I'll just end up acquiring a bunch of shit i don't need and a bunch of shitty projects that went nowhere. I've got a couple hobbies and that's good enough. Always though blacksmithing would be fun, cool to see your work.

Here's a video on how to throw it.

Anyone else disapppointed this thread wasn't about a backboard-shattering jam?

Anyway, subscribed and waiting for the update about first successful scalping!
