It’s been done before but deserves repeating. Please help provide simple translations to common MMA words and sayings:

He has a puncher’s chance = He doesn’t have a very good chance

When a fighter complains he doesn’t want to be “lay and prayed”, “grapplefucked” , or that he wants his opponent to “fight like a man” thus implying he stand and strike = My opponent is better at grappling then me.

Some Roganisms:

This is a classic striker vs grappler match = we don’t anticipate an exciting match

This guy has tons f experience = he’s old.

This guy has Neo-striking = he does karate

Etc.
 
something something something "In all of MMA" = announcer needs something to hype up fighter, even if they are shit.

"don't expect this one to go the distance" = these dudes are about to bang, bro

"blow his wad" = classic reference to Carwin tiring against Brock. Implies a fighter needs to think carefully and use energy wisely when going for the kill.

gatekeeper - someone who is consistently ranked like 3rd to 8th who wins and loses when expected.

'swinging for the fences' - when two fighters temporarily trade spouses up against a fence
 
Contender = person most likely to help sell tickets

He has a great chin = he doesn’t defend against strikes well and if he doesn’t fix that he will have a brittle glass chin within two years

This guy is showing tons of heart = this guy is losing badly

Don’t count him out = It’s pretty safe to count him out now
