Not sure if he is doing so to finish up a contract to get to the UFC, or if he is there for good.

Fuck. I'd like to see him against Stipe, JDS and Blaydes. It'll still be fun to see him beat up Roy for 3 rounds.

Didn't he have like 8 fights left on his unfulfilled contract before he bailed back to Russia?

I'm guessing he'll still have that many fights as a non champion (also lol at Bellator still not having a HW champ since he left).

Lets hope he busts them out in a year so he can get over to the UFC asap.

Good, Bellator is a better option for making more money, not getting tailed by USADA 24/7. Wish more would sign with them, always good having orgs with talent.

Another great signing by bellator.

Soon they will be equal in talent to the ufc if they keep this up.

Shame they couldnt come to terms before the GP...

Him and Chandler would rather be in Bellator than UFC it looks like.

Both guys can be top dogs in Bellator, not so much in the UFC.

In my understanding Minakov explained it like that - 4 fights left but according to contract every title defense extends your contract for two more fights. Because of that he owns 8 fights to Bellator.

Why would any big-name guy sign with the UFC these days?

"Hey Vitaly, wanna turn down a bigger payday and get paid peanuts for the privilege of working your way up the UFC rankings? Also you will have to wait on the sidelines every so often when we decide to do our WWE-style PR stunt matchmaking. And some clowns from USADA, who surely have no vendetta against Russia, will be tailing you 24/7. Sounds good right?"

Lets hope he fights every 2 months, I want to see him fight in the UFC before he declines/loses.

Chandler yes. Minakov had spent 4 years wasting his prime by not fighting in any major promotions because of his Bellator contract.
