That is not based on my nationalistic feelings for Germany that is based on facts which are based on numbers.

I do not want a nationalist France and I don't want a Nationalistic Germany or Italy. We are much better of as partners.
But if presented with a nationalist France and Le Pens desire to exit the Nato.
That will lead to a rearmament of Germany. And a fall of the EU which will cause Germany to go back to its nationalist roots.
A nationalistic Germany will want its territories back. Which are currently under control of our partners.

The US have sold you a false sense of security the last 70 years. Mostly because we had the same enemy.
The last thing you want is a Germany that is forced to establish its influence over Europe in a hostile way.
