One of the most criminally overlooked
genre's of music, imo. Krautrock was
a style of psychedelic rock made
famous in Germany in the mid to late
60s-early 80s. It has influenced a
great deal of famous artists (Kanye
West sampled a Can song & didn't
credit them). This small collection of
artists had inspired sounds that can
be found across many genres of music.
Punk, hip-hop, brit pop, post punk,etc...

I'm shocked these haven't been posted yet. Figured at least one would be featured in the OP.

Youtube is actually one of the best places to discover new music...came across this today, Popol Vuh are one of my favourite bands of all time, though I love Krautrock generally...there is something about the religious/mystical nature of their music that appeals to me (a lot of which is eastern), and this is absolutely brilliant

You lot bene sneaking a look at my CD collection again?

A very underrated ditty from Dingers's band after Neu with an excellent fan made video...

This mashup for music/video is just about perfect for me as well..

From a point where Can had gotten past there best in the studio but I love this funked up version of Dizzy Dizzy from 77...

So funky achieves the impossible and gets a 70's west german student to tap his foot slightly.
