Lebron is #1 not even a debate. KD or kawhi are number 2. Who is a better player between KD and kawhi though? Kawhi has won championships and finals mvp while KD hasnt but KD has an MVP.

Yea but kawhi can defend and can score. Hes also not a choke artist. KD is the better scorer no doubt dude gets buckets. Kawhi is a more complete player though.

Well every defensive metric says so

Beyond that, KD has basically assumed the role as GSW's rim protector, and he's been excelling at it, and rim protectors are inherently more valuable than perimeter defenders

the eyeball test still has Kawhi as the much more effective defender and especially at ball denial, but the advanced stats and counting stats do favor Durant this year. by a good like 4% in DFG differential too

durant has been solid on D the past few years, but he certainly stepped it up this year. helps having Draymond and Klay guard their other best guys, but still...
