Jon Jones and Frank Mir both tested positive for turinabol

Frank got a bad batch of what he was actually taking, and it contained T. Jones likely had the same problem. If you're not getting it direct from supplier, you can sometimes run across tainted batches of your preferred cheating compound.

Honestly I don't buy that for a second. Professional athletes are so sloppy and careless that they are taking tainted supplements? No way.

A lot of top nutritionists will tell you supplements, aside from protein shakes, have little or no value anyway.

"There's no excuse," Dolce said. "Especially at the elite level. We're talking about millions of dollars, off a scoop of some $20 sucralose-laden crap that's not giving performance anyway. And I will say that there are supplements out there that are intentionally doped, that the supplement store owner knows and they kind of lie under the fringe and they're sitting on the shelf and the supplement store clerk is gonna be like, ‘This is the one.'"

Mir and Jones having the same PEDs supplier wouldn't be a shock many gyms go to the same doctor / supplier so yea.

Kinda silly to fall for it again, didn't learn nothing from the people that failed tests from your circle using the same shit.

Also UFC 100 Mir.. did we really need a damn test to tell us he is in the same boat as Lesnar c'mon now.

Here is my speculation: the team had found a way to mask turinabol and were mostly successful in passing the PED tests. Until their luck ran out.

That's a pretty wild speculation... Wouldn't you say that it is more likely that somebody at JacksonWink jealous of their success is spiking all their drinks, meats and dick pills with turinabol? That's just got to be it.

Definitely you are right. No doubt its in the water at Jackson-Wink. Probably Daniel Cormier himself.

I can't get over the "dick-pills" defense. Viagra is not banned by USADA. If Jones has erectile dysfunction, Viagra is the way to go. What professional athlete takes "dick-pills" from a training partner? Were they sharing horror stories of not being able to get it up?

This is actually my assumption as well. His expensive designer steroids, that he's been using forever, were tainted with regular old turinabol and that's how he finally got caught.

There have been something like 100+ turinabol busts in pro sports in the last 10 years.

Guys started using it to mask other PEDs and since it was old, they didn't think it would be tested.

I think it was simply the case of Jon hanging around his new power lifting buddies and they recommend it to him.
Turinabol is masking agent also?

To quote Chael, if they caught turinabol, they missed the good stuff.
Chael can't even pronounce it though

I just haven't heard of it being a masking agent

Curious how and then how to slide through the test for itself

Both Jon Jones and Frank Mir train at Jackson Wink. Coincidence? Certainly that is possible.

But also consider that turinabol is a steroid that hasn't been in vogue in a while. Yet two MMA fighters at Jackson Wink both fail for the same PED within an 18 month period.

Interesting. I don't remember anyone calling for Frank mir to be banned for life. I wonder why.

Probably because he had a little since in the early days of the UFC and then won the interim title from Nog before getting smashed by Lesnar. Jon Jones' success and terrible attitude has garnered a lot of haters. Also, Frank only failed one test. Jones is on number two.

I think the idea of Jackson wink finding a way to mask it unique to themselves is probably a stretch.. maybe if they stole it from ATT..

I personally like one of the more feasible ideas like: they improved the test or Jon was taking something else (better) and this just slipped through due to serious ineptitude.

I think you're mistaking the "tainted gear theory" for the "tainted supplements theory".

These guys didn't have T-Bol in their protein powder. It was in their other steroids, that they masked... In theory...

Could be. I don't understand the details of how it works. I don't believe in tainted supplements. Further, they are professional athletes they are responsible for what they put in their bodies. That means avoiding supplements if necessary.

I suspect there is an art and science to taking PEDs and avoiding testing positive. Jones is employing that art science.

Them kangaroos were roiding like crazy

Honestly Frank Mir could be telling the truth. One bite of that Kangaroo that is obviously being fed small doses of TBOL and you can believe some got in the meat. Interesting,.

Also a convenient excuse for TBOL usage. Why feed a Kangaroo TBOL then eat it? If I had a jacked up TBOL Kangaroo I'd have it walk around with me mean mugging everybody.

I'll never forgive that Winklejohn camp for corrupting that sweet young Overeem fellow and making him take all those nasty steroids. The unscrupulous will always prey upon the innocent.
