Shut down government to fund the wall he vowed that Mexico would pay for? That whole "Mexico will pay for it" part seems to have been forgotten. Just more Trump attempting to rewrite history like the reading of the "quote" of himself commenting on Charlottesville but omitting the "On both sides, on both sides" remark like it never happened.

He will not get a single Democrat vote on any budget that gives a penny towards his wall. If he gets it it will be because the GOP provided every vote for it. And then they can own the funding for the stupid wall when there are deep cuts to social programs in their home states and districts and the can run on defending that.

He was giving a speech in Phoenix to the last remnants of his base, which consists of folks who are either a) Too proud to admit they made a mistake, or B) folks too dumb to realize they made a mistake.

In case you haven't noticed, Trump will say anything to a given crowd to generate applause. It's his M.O. He tells them what they want to hear, but he is a charlatan and an inveterate liar. He gets high off crowd reaction, it's his escape from the fact that most of the country does not approve of him, and a good portion outright despise him. He will lie to your face to get you to clap like a trained seal.

He's got no plans to shutdown the Government over a border wall.

Not the worst, but certainly one of the biggest wastes of money. Nearly 2/3 of illegals come legally and overstay visas.

Crossing the border is not the way "the large majority of persons now become undocumented," the Center for Migration Studies (CMS) said in a recent report. Two-thirds of those who joined the undocumented population did so by entering with a valid visa and then overstaying their period of admission, the center repored.

Overstays have exceeded those entering illegally every year since 2007, and there have been half a million more overstays than illegal entries since 2007.
