Maybe his new family life has something to do with this or his ankle was playing up again? Most fighters have 1 or more bad peformances on their record so i am not worried for now. Next time i expect an in shape and focused Chandler.

Low hands also make it easier to grab hold of a leg (less distance to travel), and Chandler wrestles in all his fights. There's a reason wrestling matches always have the guys' hands by their waist.

Besides that, Chandler didn't even keep his hands low in this fight. I just rewatched it, and I have no idea where you can get the idea he kept his hands low.

This's, literally, where his hands were for the entire fight. If you think that's "not keeping your hands up" or that that's a bad guard to adopt, you're a fucking idiot...
