This was what the author of the piece above on Germany wrote for her article on October 9th….

Palestinians do not rejoice over death but at the idea that we have a chance for freedom. I do not rejoice over death. I rejoice over the possibility to live.

I lived in Germany for four years. People need to realize that Germany is a Democratic Socialist Republic. If the government says you can't talk about "X" in public, then you cannot talk about "X".

Germany does not want anything to do with anything anti-Jewish/Israel (because reasons...) When people flee their own countries that have fallen into chaos (usually from religious leadership) and into Germany. They need to realize.

Germany is NOT America.

Great, so this far-right psycho is calling for the National Guard to come in and attack anti-genocide protesters because they won't pretend to believe the most lurid fake atrocity propaganda stories that were circulated to manufacture consent for the slaughter of Palestenian civilians. Real healthy political climate you guys have in the US. It's important for Americans to remember that this guy is looking out for your best interests; it's actually toddlers in Gaza that are your enemy.

Well, Gaza has a population of about 2.4 million. And let’s say so far about 30k have died. So Israel still has about 99% of the population to go before we know for sure if that’s true or not.

figures are probably closer to 40-45 k, 80 k injured in 6 months.

So even if it’s 40k, that means Israel’s on pace to complete this “genocide” in about 30 years assuming zero children are born in that span.

Fwiw, I’m not pro Israel, but rather against people just throwing out extreme words like Genocide, Nazi and antisemitism. It’s a lopsided war between two entities that hate each other due to 70+ years of conflict.

In 1948, the United Nations Genocide Convention defined genocide as any of five "acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group". These five acts were: killing members of the group, causing them serious bodily or mental harm, imposing living conditions intended to destroy the group, preventing births, and forcibly transferring children out of the group. Victims are targeted because of their real or perceived membership of a group, not randomly“

Gaza is unliveable at this point. 80 percent of the buildings are destroyed. You’re looking at it from one perspective

The only thing preventing Israel's actions causing much higher loss of life is the aid agencies. A third party. Israel have cut off 95% Gaza's water supply and food production.

If I shoot you in the chest attempting to murder you.. it doesn't really matter if a third party saves you... the penalty for attempted murder and actual murder is pretty much the same under most jurisdictions.

I’m looking at it from the point of “destroying a group”

There also has to be intent to do so, which you can argue is true based on some shit Israel’s leaderships said. However, the main intention is to get rid of Hamas. If Hamas is removed/surrenders tomorrow Israel stops killing civilians. In other major genocides the intent was to straight up eliminate the population, there was no other goal. The civilian deaths in Gaza are a result of the goal to remove Hamas. That’s like saying the USA attempted genocide when they bombed Japan(killing around 200k give or take) when the goal was to force the government to surrender.

except israel coordinates with those aid agencies.

  • In explaining the U.S. veto, Wood said there are “unresolved questions” on whether Palestine meets the criteria to be considered a state. He pointed to Hamas still exerting power and influence in the Gaza Strip, which is a key part of the state envisioned by the Palestinians.
  • “The Palestinians are paying terrorists, paying them to slaughter us. None of their leaders condemns terrorism, nor the Oct. 7 massacre. They call Hamas their brothers.”

your argument is that the intent isn’t there if only you ignore the words of a few “bad apples” in Israeli leadership.

But when you align the words with the actions Israel is actually taking it’s clear as day.

Bibi literally went to the UN with his new map of Israel. There was no Palestine. It was only Israel. That is clear intent. Whether we like it or not Bibi and his band are leading Israel.

They are moving everyone south and are preparing to invade. The intent is there in words and actions.

And what about the West Bank? PA is there, and no Hamas. There’s no talk of them becoming a state , wonder why?
