for a while, but most kids simply grow out of it by like 10 give or take. I would have to travel with a nebulizer and inhaler, I still do the inhaler just in case. Less frequently, it can stay with them a lifetime. Happened to a buddy of mine, he went to one of those desert parties, and due to the high allergens, he developed breathing issues on the spot. Got lost from his group of friends, forgot the inhaler, and an hour later, was passed out and died in the dirt. Dude was 30 ish years old and couldnt breath and died.Good to know your little one is ok. Is long term treatment required ?
to add, the weight of your kid dying is immeasurable, and it is haunting.
