Eastern European refugees, would conservatives feel the same?

Sounds like this thread didn't go the way OP hoped it would.

Probably any mass movement of adult men, crossing the border illegally, and causing wide-spread criminality/instability, would never be welcomed with open arms by conservatives.

This thread actually makes more sense than the other thread...

Never understood why UK doesn't like Eastern European immigrants. Drinking aside, that work ethic is completely unmatched in rest of the EU. Not sure about US tho, Americans do love overworking.

if they come from Islamic regions (like say Chechyna or Albania) then likely not...

but from say Latvia? nobody has a problem w/ that

Would like an honest discussion. Would the right still be anti immigrant if the United States started getting flooded with millions of Caucasian immigrants? Or is their beliefs only dependent on skin color?

(See how easy it is to make a shit thread)
If they want to work hard, vote for small govt and don't want to turn the USA into a socialist/communist and anti-Christian country, then I'm fine with them.

If the UK is any indicator with Polish and Ukrainian immigrants, then yes they would. Tough to say that the U.S. would react the same but there was significant dislike of the flood of white immigrants coming in to the U.K. a while back. When I was living there you could go into a pub and hear similar rhetoric concerning them that one hears about Mexicans in the U.S. now.

The UK isn't a good indicator though. The whole of Europe has been taking migrants as a consequence of EU membership and the UK are the only ones who are pressing the self-destruct button.

But we could let in 100 million... would that be enough? It still wouldn't help the world's problems.

Honest question. Is it stated somewhere that solving the world's problems is a goal of imigration?

To the best of my knowledge that was never the idea, then one weirdo said it in a video that went viral and I hear it all the time now. I'm wondering if there is some historic or documented precedent for this idea.

You really got to stop taking my posts so seriously

But yea. I stand by my prediction we will have a problem in the future. Not near future of course

Fine then, I'll go away. :(

I don't think thats a question with a simple answer. Like if everything was exactly the same except the illegals had different skin, like mexicans were white instead? No, I don't think people would just suddenly be OK with it.

I suppose the goal of immigration is an interesting question altogether. Did Europe letting in 1% (or whatever) or Syria's population "help" anything? Or did it just serve the 1% (or whatever) most ambitious and fit to pick up and move? Regardless, what is the point? Idk man....
