Dominick Cruz is a much better analyst than Joe Rogan

You must not read this website much, 90% of the " hardcore fans " don't understand MMA for shit.

I get that impression sometimes, but Dominick Cruz just said Yahya won the third round against Tanaka and I'm sure I've said some perfectly ridiculous shit so you can't just take one gaffe and assume someone doesn't know shit. I like to think most of us know what's going on well enough. I think I know more than the vast majority of you, but I imagine you all feel the same way, so...

He is definitely a better analyst, but it doesn't mean he's a better fit for the UFC as a color commentator. Andrés Segovia is a far superior guitar technician than Jimi Hendrix, that doesn't make him a better entertainer for the masses.

His perception and analysis of the in-cage action is far superior to Rogan's. I'd argue the same for both Stann and Hardy. Rogan used to be pretty solid, but at some point he just started to become delusional and a little off. Can't really atand listening to him anymore. However, what he does bring that Cruz definitively lacks, is enthusiasm and energy in his voice.
