Do any UFC fighters have more heart than Rory?

Robbie Lawler is probably close, but after watching Rory's career, I can't say anyone has more heart or grit than he does. At least, not in the modern UFC.

I was a Rory detractor for quite a while but he has proven to be legit. Even his losses he impresses. True WW champ.

Robbie is close for sure, but Rory fought for nearly 4 rounds with a shattered nose against a guy who hits damn hard. At the end of the day, Rory is human and has limits. Robbie had a nasty split lip (literally his lips were split) but he wasn't nearly as damaged as Rory in that fight. Robbie is the superior fighter, but Rory has more heart (if only a little)

How can you say someone has heart when he enjoys pain? Maybe he should consult a psychiatrist

Agree with all except first one. Fight would have been a draw if Rory survived

the way Rory fought Lima was so damn ballsy. thought he was done when Lima dropped him w/ a leg kick in the third. dude's got hella heart; one of the biggest badasses in MMA, no doubt ...
 
As much as its hard to admit, Jon Jones showed a ton of heart in his fight with Gus. And when Vitor had a seriously deep armbar in on him, or when he broke his toe fighting Sonnen.

He takes so much crap for so many things its makes it easy to forget the guy is tough as nails.
 
There is something truly "off" about Rory but in a good way. He would probably be a serial killer if MMA didn't exist and I mean that in the best possible way.

There are fighters, and then there are guys like Rory, who actually would prefer a bloody war over an easy painless victory.


Rory is the kind of guy that would rescue a woman thats about to be mauled by a bear, and then in stead of running away he would choose to fight the bear to the death.

Thats not losing heart to be fair. Getting your nose shattered that bad when you are already so damaged can make your body just shutdown in response to the pain/trauma. Rory didn't give up, he just got beat.

Put an 8 sided cage around this guy, he will show heart; and he won't puss out for a stoppage no matter what some pansy heart rate monitor says.
