Defeating Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu With Pressure Points..

I was rolling with a wrestler a while back and he used a pretty effective pressure point on me.. He was getting frustrated from not being able to pass my guard and I think I had him triangled; so he just stuck his whold damn hand (felt like up to his elbow) right up my damn asshole. I let go quick and tried to butt scoot away all the while saying as best I could "ppppleeeaaasee,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, taaake,,,,,,, your fucking hand,,,,,,,,,, ouuuuuttttaaaaaa,,,,,, my ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If youre a man, you just had gay sex. You were fisted.

As you can see by all the previous posts, pressure points are a bunch of BS. They exist, but do nothing against somebody who knows what they're doing.

Behind the jawline to open space for a choke is taught by Kashiwazaki, pretty effective.

Pressure points are not idiotic, or useless.

They are not a substitute to proper groundfighting, not even close though.

Same with wristlocks. They are a good additive, but worthless on their own.

I'm not even going to comment on how to negate all of these techniques. What a turd.

1st of all, this video is shit. And those guys are just retards who think they discovered something better than BJJ. But...
Pressure points work. At least I believe that. But I also believe that there are maybe two or three people who really can use it and know how to use it.
I read about it and it

Martial arts fantasy. This is basically a type of LARP.

Do you LARP redaxe? Are you a black belt at being a hairy potter...lol

Basically this.

Pressure points can be effective (they are used more often than you probably think), but they are an addition to good fundamental technique, not a substitute for it. Probably the best example of effective pressure point attack is boxers aiming for the jaw of their opponent. There is a pressure point that sits in behind the jaw, near the chin, that if hit hard enough will cause the person to go unconscious. The temple and pressure points behind the ear (see JDS/Velasquez) are also every effective points to strike.

The problem with pressure points is that most people use them incorrectly, e.g. push instead of strike, use them as a stand alone technique. Like a lot of martial arts techniques pressure points have been given this mystical "touch of death" character. So people were keen to learn them but neglected more important fundamental techniques and/or weren't prepared to learn them properly, which results in them sucking. Hence, today most people who claim to know pressure points don't know how to use them properly (or appropriately), and when other people see their fumbling they think that pressure points are useless. When in fact, correctly used pressure point attacks are great.

The other issue with pressure points is that they are not in the same spot on everybody, and some people don't really have them. As biological constructs, each individual is made slightly differently. This makes them even harder to use effectively.

So I guess all the professional fighters that have been KO'd by strikes to the jaw, temple, behind the ear, or outside of the thigh had no idea what they were doing?

look up lloyd gordon he is a jjj specialist and has used pressure points very effectively to tap a few bjj blackbelts

No, smartass. What when I refer to "pressure points", I mean things like these:

There is a white belt I train with that is a blackbelt in karate and tries weird pressure point shit or if he can't open my guard with legit technique digs his knuckles into my ribs. I don't even tell him to stop. I just make him pay for it.

A white belt actually used it to get out of side control. A thumb pressure right into the back of my ear.

There's this spazzy kung fu teacher that comes to roll every now and than.

Everytime he recognizes he's trapped and about to get subbed , he starts coaching.:icon_lol:

Like you have him in a mounted triangle and he will be like , yeah really good, yeah go on, now if you pull your knees together you can finish it.. :icon_lol:

And after you release him , hell verbally pat you on the head , for doing good and tell you he could've escaped by hitting you on the x pressure point.

When i asked him to use it , it was some annoying pressing/ poking with his finger, which made me squeeze even harder and had him tap obv.

But if it was a real fight he " would've used it harder".

Great stuff against Bjj those pressure points.

but it worked on me, I gave up the side control because the pressure on the ear was painfull.

I tapped to a funky pressure point the other day. I'll admit it. I'm a white belt. I had a huge bruise on my shin from kicking a bag for the first time in my life. During a roll this purple dug his elbow into my shin while pulling up on my foot, I wimped out asap :(.
