Due to AFN being turned on for football, I didn't catch the fight until now.

- A lot has been said about the marketing, but it was clear that the crowd was cheering for Stipe from the beginning.

- Cruz had some good analytical points (single legs vs. double legs, angles, spiral rides, etc.), whereas Joe basically did his typical "OH!" and "He's OUT!" (I wasn't sure who exactly was "out" when he shouted that). I honestly think that both Dana and Joe should go to Bellator. Now that there is a generation of retired fighters, it's time for them to move into more real administrative roles within the company.

Honestly him taking round 4 off makes sense, its not like he's the only person to do this, Yoel Romero just did it against Whittaker and took a round off to catch his breath. Ngannou's best hope at that point was to catch a 2nd wind and come out strong in round 5, which he almost did but then fell into the wrestling trap again.

No takedown defense, no ground game, no cardio, no stamina, no will. That is what I saw towards the end of the second round.

I still think he has potential though. Just needs some work.

Agreed only will he had plenty. He would Not have survived 5 rounds being this gassed without tremendous will. He will never reach Stipes skill set that is sure but I expect better stand up.

And he definitely made a big mistake roiding up to have to cut to 265. He should stop this and loose 15-20lb.
