Cris Cyborg vs. Yana Kunitskaya Targeted For UFC 222 w/ Edgar vs. Ortega as Co-Main

At least it's a title fight. Hopefully this comes to fruition.
 
Great division so far. The only fighter that spends the majority of their time at 145 in the division is Cyborg. Other than that they STILL keep throwing 135 fighters at her, only now she doesnt have to hurt herself cutting weight to fight them.

Cyborg is a complete joke, and the UFC putting her vs a mediocre 135'er over Edgar vs Ortega is a disgrace.

The UFC really sucks lately.

(Edit) This information is dated but for the info on Kunitskaya's weight and the other fights.

That is out of date stuff as far as I know.



Kunitskaya is a featherweight who started fighting down at bantamweight over the last several years. She is very big and weighed over 14lbs over her last opponent at fight time. Invicta and Kunitskaya were informed she should next fight at 145lbs in California.

I love how everyone complains about WFW not having enough fighters and when one of the more intriguing prospects gets her shot you guys immediately bash that too. You bash her for not fighting enough or the division for not having enough fighters and then complain more when she gets a potential fight. Haters gonna hate. Is it the ideal headliner? No. But both fighters are stepping up and taking the risk to enhance the card as much as they can. MMA fans are truly a joke.
 
Absolute bullsh*t if true. The only thing I can think is Nunes bailed and they just got the the top rated girl willing to take the fight.

The Cyborg hate is genuinely pathological. She beats whoever's put in front of her. She asks for 145ers she's a can crusher, she takes the 135 champ she's beating up smaller girls, people have some kind of a mental issue with Cyborg, no one else gets that level of vicious h8 on here including all the personal comments. And it's not like there are people queueing up to get a crack at her either.
