Bernie Sanders could run for president.

I give Bernie credit for the honesty.

I just massively disagree with his policy. Although i consider his vision of government control over the people downright evil, i still have more respect for him as a politician (and a person) than the VAST majority of the other professional politicians out there, including the ones i view as much closer to my personal political beliefs.

Integrity is pretty damn rare in that snake's nest he has chosen as a profession.

Obviously i'll get a lot of tomatoes for this because he is liberal, but really what politician has been more honest then Bernie over the last 5 years?

I hope he runs if it splits the liberal votes. As far as his honesty, he lied to my face 17 years ago to try and win an argument about subsidized student loans. I doubt any moderate liberal can stomach the idea of voting for a socialist anyway.

He would be so much better than Hillary. Too bad the media won't support him.

IS he too far to the left to win the election?
And if anyone thinks so, what are your thought's on the Nordic model that Mr. Sanders is so fond of? it certainty wouldn't be the best for the soul crushing corporatism that this country seems to worship.

This is awesome! I really hope he wins, if not, he will at least steer the political discussions to the left of where they generally are.

i like bernie, he's more liberal than me but i think his voice is needed in the national debate.

I'd love to see a double split where Bernie, Hillary, Jeb, and Rand all run on separate tickets.

Otherwise, whichever party splits will lose.

So who is a bigger threat to Clinton? Sanders or Deblassio?

There are a lot of top quality democratic candidates coming from the New England region.
I think an Elizabeth Warren/Bernie Sanders ticket would be the perfect scenario.

Ron or Rand Paul

This really sums up how I feel about old Bernie. What he thinks is nearly pure evil (he has no problem with using government force against peaceful people who disagree with him) but you can tell he truly believes it.

It can also be fun to play the "Bernie Sanders drinking game":

Every time Bernie says "poor and working families": one shot

If Bernie mentions "blue collar union workers" or "underprivileged minorities": one shot

Whenever he says "Republicans" with disdain: Finish your drink

There are a lot of top quality democratic candidates coming from the New England region.

The thought of these two people holding that much power makes me shudder.

Thank goodness the next President will likely be a republican. I don't think any democrat will be capable of capturing Obamas momentum.

That's like asking who is a bigger threat to Jon Jones? Forrest Griffin or Shogun?

Fair enough lol

Yes Ron and Rand Paul are corporate shill's who fight for big business and con suckers like you, that they're on your side. why'll i agree with Ron on a lot of things such as guns and the war on drugs, i have to assume you champion them as the "Honest" candidate because they're conservative. I have seen nothing that would make me think these two are honest.

Oh and Ron think the jews were behind the 93 wtc bombings and they wonder why he didnt get the nomination. :icon_neut
