Bernie Sanders could run for president.

He's gone Thug.

Someone actually did reach out to him maybe a 1 1/2 ago and he replied back. He nicely declined the offer of trying to return.
Probably for the best. He got pretty emotionally invested in his arguments. I disagreed with him on a lot of things, but he's a character. And a passionate one a that.

Oxnaaaaard!

He has no charisma. He'll get dusted early on by younger candidates.

Got reamed with the lights on, then came out and supported the rapist.

Is this a joke?
It's funny how everyone is apparently an economic conservative/social liberal but Ron&Son didn't get many votes.

America keeps fucking itself when the answer is right there

"Economic conservative" (supporter of deregulation, weakened safety net, less opportunity for the poor, regressive tax cuts) and social liberal is by far the rarest combination of the four potential ones.

Fucking dubs. This is thread worthy. Anyone feel free to start a thread on it.
Reddit is exactly the same except bots make posts as well. It's very difficult to tell the difference between a bot and a human. It takes a lot of time researching accounts, post history, etc to get a good idea.

What's most frustrating is that many people refuse to believe that the ideas they read and support online cannot be created by bots, and that there's no way the accounts who like or post favorable comments to theirs are bots. It's not just Russia and that's why I have a difficult time getting behind the effort to bring the Russians down- it's disingenuous to make the presumption that only one political group/government could be behind these tactics. Especially when the data continues to show everyone is doing it.

The only ways to stop it are to ban social media from allowing bot accounts(won't happen) or for enough people to get frustrated and abandon these platforms or a counter-insurgency campaign using fire to fight fire.

The Dems really have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to potential candidates in the next election. Sanders, Biden and of corse Hillary from the old guard are certainly more than deserving. Then you have a ton of up and comers. Trump has no chance.

EDIT- and of course there is always a chance the GOAT enters (Mrs. Obama)

Although i consider his vision of government control over the people downright evil,

Yeah. I hate the power my plumbing and my car and my dishwasher have over me. Tools: Evil incarnate.

He would be the best America has had in the last 150/200 years.
Unfortunately the word socialist is even worse then the word childmolester for Americans, so he doesn't have a chance in hell.
Here in most European countries he would be considered a middle of the road politician, for Americans he's an extreme leftwinger.

Bernie was a young man when this thread was created.

Ron or Rand Paul

This really sums up how I feel about old Bernie. What he thinks is nearly pure evil (he has no problem with using government force against peaceful people who disagree with him) but you can tell he truly believes it.

It can also be fun to play the "Bernie Sanders drinking game":

Every time Bernie says "poor and working families": one shot

If Bernie mentions "blue collar union workers" or "underprivileged minorities": one shot

Whenever he says "Republicans" with disdain: Finish your drink

The thought of these two people holding that much power makes me shudder.

Thank goodness the next President will likely be a republican. I don't think any democrat will be capable of capturing Obamas momentum.

A great post capped off with a spot-on prediction. Props bro

What do you think of Bernie's endorsement of Jane Kim for SF mayor? Kills his leftist credibility for good or just a mistake that came from not following local politics?

As Matthew Lewis put it:

Yesterday, a San Francisco candidate for Mayor began organizing one of SF's wealthiest neighborhoods to protest against new housing in their neighborhood. Today, that candidate won the endorsement of Bernie Sanders.
