BELLATOR: Regarding the 6/24 PPV show, the estimates have ranged from 90,000 to 135,000, although the best source pegged it at 95,000 in the U.S., which would be well under the 200,000 prediction of Scott Coker.

That mean some numbers still have not come to Dave so the 135k is the highest it can be expected to hit, but 95k is where it seems now.

That is less than their first PPV & cannot be considered anything but horrible & a money loser for BFC

Edit: Coker upped his bottom number to 250k the week of the show

But the fighters made millions in sponsorships so that's all that matters

Edit: Don't forget that dizz twitter ass said it did 50-75k

So basically the numbers aren't out yet and everyone is still speculating. Nice thread.

When are the numbers ever out? Meltzer is the only person that gives out good estimates.

Well the sponsors need cold hard numbers. Those sponsors will share info. Bellators marketing team will be sharing it with new potential sponsors and fighters. It will get out.

Any day now Bellator will take over. If you add over payed Roy Nelson & Mousasi to the low buyrate ppv cards that feature multiple high priced MMA legends, their top LHW signings in a title fight, their top prospect ever, a WW title fight and LW title fight they might break 100k buys. Maybe if they put every single Bellator title fight on the card and also sign Chuck Liddell they can reach Mighty Mouse UFC numbers. And when that happens, as all the smart mature fans have been saying...any day now Bellator will take over.

If this is true Bellator lost money. If they did 95k than they (they charged $50 right?) did $4,750,000 in PPV revenue and $1.5mil in gate (estimate I read in another thread). Take away the half PPV providers take and the mil for MSG and that leaves them with 2,875,000 for everything else (oh the $2mil Fedor thing was a hoax).

So how much did they lose? Even if it is a loss for Bellator would the advertiser money mean it could have possibly been a small profit for Viacom (they did like 900k on prelims alone)?

Coker overevalued (think of all the promotions that do fine with $10 iPPV's), he should lower the price next time ($30?).

seems like Bellator adopted Afflictions buisness model of overpaying fighters while not selling any PPVs

Edit: Don't forget that dizz twitter ass said it did 50-75k

Dizz is a fuckwad. He is wrong 90% of the time and when you call him on his bullshit he blocks you like a sensitive snowflake. If you have to claim to be a MMA "insider" then you are not one. His only ties to the MMA community were sucking the balls of Alden, the guy who used to run MMA Elite.

I predicted around 150 to 200k.

250k was far too optimistic for a non UFC org. Bellator doesn't have the name recognition

the gate was 1.6 million, and the ppv at the conservative estimate of 95-100k would still make the show quite profitable. Less than I hoped, but still quite profitable if you believe their official payouts.

UFC 213 did 125,000-150,000?

Considering Bellator's PPV was quite disappointing, I don't see them growing from those numbers.

They profited so they actually didn't take a L.
