Bellator 165 - Chandler vs Bendo - San Jose

Close round but probably Benson took it.

Chandler just loves finding ways to use energy unnecessarily... it's his fatal flaw as a fighter... 2-1, possibly 3-0, though

MEan ol fence grab with two hands and got taken down lol.

Almost a perfect event here, I'll tally everything up tomorrow, fucking exhausted

Watch chandler-bendo, guys.. easily the best fight of the marathon weekend. Thoroughly enjoyable, very entertaining

Vas decision, Pico dec, o1.5 MVP fight, Chandler decision. Jesus, only bet I lost was Gonzalez lol thanks to Bellator I have the tiniest profit from yesterday

Chandler Bendo fight was fun to watch. I was rooting for Bendo but I had the over 3.5 and Chandler moneyline.

I wonder if they'll give MVP a title shot coming off that shit performance.

Knowing MVP, a guy who has been getting hyped for literally about 5-6 years and just now decided to step up competition to a decent opponent, he will decline a fight with Lima either way.

I could see that. I'd love to get a nice line on Lima though if the fight ever happened. Probably unlikely though.

this was a breath of fresh air after the two ufc's (not to mention losing 2.5u on invicta friday).

as i alluded earlier, watch chandler-bendo, it was awesome. the moment after rd 4 was surreal as fuck. and rd 1 holy shit.

I'm sure he'd accept a dance-off with him though. He danced around for 15 minutes last night so he's all warmed up.

Finally watched this including the prelims which Bellator nicely left up online for replay. Jake "The Snake" Roberts' son lost a decision and Baby Slice got choked out after almost submitting his opponent. On the main card Fernando Gonzalez really should not have gotten a 30-27 from one judge, that was crazy. MVP's lack of engagement was maddening but Gonzalez did nothing to win the first two rounds. The main event was great- what a fight! The event director in the production truck screwed up though as they didn't show Chandler stumble after round 4 even as Chael Sonnen said he did. They threw a Bellator logo in there and cut to the start of the fifth round. It would have been nice to see that. I was surprised it ended as a split decision, I thought that Chandler should have gotten a UD. At least I picked that pretty much completely right and ended up with a small profit of .91 units.

the moment with chandler after rd 4 was so surreal.. i recorded it on my phone lol.. he doesn't know where he is, just gasping for air, blood dripping from a couple places.. insane.

say what you will about bendo, and there's plenty negative to say.. but he makes you fuckin work for it. if there was a 6th round, i do 't think chandler could've survived (which is kind of a stupid statement to make, cause there ISN'T a sixth round)

Bendo says he thought he won the fight. Also that he'll be taking time off for ACL surgery and will be back for more fights in Bellator. Still intends to join a branch of the U.S. military that will have him at his age and with his hand tattoo after that.
