    WTF

Lana completed the transition after Speed Racer's release in 2008,[180] and by at least December 2010, trade magazines and newspapers referred to her as "Lana Wachowski" her preferred name

How is it possible that this happened 9 years ago and I have never heard a single person bring it up or talk about it?

With the exception of The Matrix, I've never particularly liked them. In fact, I would say they're pretty overrated.

They were pretty ugly dudes. It’s one thing to make a dude a lady. And it’s one thing to make an ugly chick hot. But to make an ugly dude a hot chick? Not sure the science is there yet.

I mean, how can you do anything other than just offer a heavy fucking sigh at what appears to be obvious mental illness? [/quote]

Could send dick pix (anonymously). Otherwise, yeah... just sighs is other option.

I don't know what to say about their careers. I hardly heard of anything else from them. All I know is that they're inspiring as shit. Should be producing blockbusters on the strength of thst alone. And when you add the bravery to the equation...?

Can someone explain Cloud Atlas to me? I'm willing to give it another shot, but I had no idea what the fuck was happening in that movie. I turned it off after about 45 min. There isn't even a solid timeline or setting. It's fucking confusing.

It's tough and not easily digestible, plus the Wachowskis have once again mined their "humans as resources" motif making its reveal somewhat trite and thus its climax hollow. The most difficult part is accepting that each character arc spans several lifetimes, specifically the notion that the same actor undergoes racial make-up that simply does not work on a visual level. It's almost impossible to maintain suspension of disbelief when Keith David is playing a Korean freedom fighter.

I get the idea it's a much easier novel to read than a film to watch.

That being said, I would say it's somewhere between the sprawling fictional mythos of LOST combined with the overwrought, "driving" narrative style of Nolan.

True Romance is fuckin totally a Tarantino movie. He just wasn't big enough to direct it at the time.

Well, he wrote it. Kind of like how M. Night Shyamalan wrote Stuart Little.

2.TONY SCOTT WANTED TO DIRECT BOTH TRUE ROMANCE AND RESERVOIR DOGS.
Because he was still new to the business, Tarantino knew he couldn't direct both movies. So he gave both scripts to Tony Scott and told him to pick one. Though Scott wanted both of the films, he ended up choosing True Romance, leaving Tarantino to make Reservoir Dogs.

    I find that extremely interesting

Tarantino was so confident in his scripts that he didn't care what movie he made and it really worked out for him. Worked out great

Not the same thing. True Romance was an original Tarantino idea, written by Tarantino. Stuart Little was an adaptation of a kids book.

I kind of figured that's what they were trying to show, but fuck it was hard for me to follow. Knowing that is indeed the case might make a big difference in understanding it, I'll try and rewatch it I suppose.

The funny thing is that for years Larry kept presenting as male while Andy started presenting as female earlier on. So when Larry became Lana it was pretty surprising.

Agreed. It was when the second brother also did that shit where I was like, What in the actual fuck?

I figured he was just putting up with his brother's shit because, you know, it's his brother. So when he went in the same direction I was quite surprised.

Cloud Atlas was a fun film. but I hated their accent in the future. I wanted to slap them whenever they spoke.

Thought damn the sisters suck compared to the brothers with thier movies.

They looped their dicks off, they are done making good movies

I wish it wasn't, but it's precisely what ruined Sense 8.

I wanted to watch a Sci-Fi while these two apparently were more interested in conning me into watching softcore trannie/LGBT porn. Their politics is literally destroying their artistic ability these days.
