Anderson Silva was at his best mid thirties.

BJ Penn beat Sherk and Diego either side of his thirtieth birthday.

Jones GSP and Fedor probably peaked a bit earlier.

I'd say 29 is the peak age for an MMA fighter.

Randy Couture was late 30's

Always depends but i say 27-30 are the prime ages.

It depends when they turn pro.

If we assume they start training in their early teens, then 30-31yrs.

There is no average. Depends on the individual.

Obviously over thirty-three. Erick Silva is just approaching his prime. Soon guys.

Before the 10th concussion imo...

I guess it depends on various factors e.g genetics, fight camps, mindset/mentality and so on...

JBJ dominated a LHW division that was at the time labelled "the shark tank" from the age of like 23-26...

Whilst someone like Robbie Lawler (who was unfortunately considered something of a "prodigee" far too early in his career) didn't really blossom properly until gone 30.

Not to mention freakshows like Randy and Hendo who were battling into their late 90s. I mean Hendo actually used to be considered a pretty boring fighter until he hit his late-30s and starting KOing dudes for leisure

Depends when they started I guess. Take an age and add 10 years to it. Unless you're already 50.

Depends on the fighter. Most fighters peak in their 30s.

There are so many variables to the longevity of an athletes career. I think the way they train and compete plays a huge factor.

Athletic peak happens around early-mid twenties. With fighters it depends on where athletic prime meets development of technique. With the juice it can happen a lot later, as we've seen in several cases.

32-36. That is when men peak physically. Rockhold is proof.

C.Ronaldo is 32 and just had his an amazing season. But soccer is a different game.

I take the point, but it's incredibly subjective as everyone is different. Also a man's typical "physical peak" doesn't necessarily coincide with their peak level of ability or (more importantly) a peak in their positive mindset (which includes notions such as career ambition and motivation/drive).

... Counter example: Wayne Rooney is like 31 and certainly considered by most to have his best days behind him... not to mention retiring from professional football.

It's all highly dependant on individual circumstances and I don't think you can really say anything more than that.

It really depends on the person. I would say there is no definite age but the average seems to be around 30.

First of all: Mileage > Age

Also really depends on weight and style. Speed is usually the first thing to go. So more often than not fighters in lower weight classes and/or with styles that rely heavily on speed peak earlier.
