Guy single-handedly turned once respectable fighting organisation into a WWE circus. These days everybody dresses like a clown, gets juiced, disrespects opponent at pressers and calls for money fights. Kevin Lee's rant is a last example that you need more mic than fighting skills to succeed.

He has helped bring in so many casual fans its crazy. The guy knows how to market himself. Cant wait to see him finally defend a title.

He changed it for the worse. He even changed Sherdog forever and helped his fanboys come out of the closet.

wish everybody else would just act as who they are not who they think will make money
you aint gotta talk shit and act half retard to get some fans

different game for different people!

You still believe they supplement their diet with juice boxes? Earth must be flat.
I actually believe juicing in MMA/Vale Tudo started last year. Period.

respectable fighting organisation
I feel like this in itself is an oxymoron but UFC had shenanigans aplenty well before McGregor. He didn't change anything, he just exploited what was already there.

Sounds like your having a hard time with all this. May I recommend therapy? Lmao

All THIS ^^^ fight fan wants...

Your hero of "The Ultimate Fighting Championship" doesn't fight anyone. Yeah, he's great.

He had help. He couldn't have done it without the UFC wanting this. Really he was their vehicle to doing this. Remember that they also brought in undeserving Sage and paid him more than vets because they figured he'd appeal to certain demographics... Ronda deserved all of that press? Brock is jacked, but did he deserve a title shot in his fourth fight?
It also took some lameness from other figh... Mendes keeping position may win, even gassed (but note thst he was chosen over Edgar who wasn't allowed to come into the cage to call him out); Aldo - need I say more? (also UFC:no hematch), Nate II - a simple trip by a guy who's over six feet tall could lead to a different decision or even a stoppage, Alvarez - whatever... maybe he's just a derp who got lucky a few times. Still think he should've 73'd and gone for some takedowns.
UFC again gets some blame for gifting a "super fight" between two beltholders who haven't defended either title once.
Don't give the dude more credit than he deserves.

Spot on Sir, but be careful you are running a risk of being called a casual fan by McGregor's footsoldiers.

He has but it's just the newest trend in a series of trends.

We had our TUF crowd who thought Forrest was God and that brought in a whole slew of casuals.

Chuck did huge draws while he was on his streak.

There's always going to be some niche that draws in a ton of casuals.

Connie is just the newest thing.

Agreed that he took what was generally a decent sport and stuck his nasty STD infested weiner in it.

Oh well, everyone was a casual fan at one point. Some stay that way, some get more into it. Honestly, who gives a shit?
