This damn game against Wazzu has been called a trap so much, I hope that it takes the actual trap element out of it. First real good passing attack USC will see this year.

Nine University of Florida players are suspected of using other people's credit cards. At least one was adding money to his girlfriend's school account telling her it was from an agent. He was buying things like multiple Ipads and Beats headphones. The article doesn't say it but I assume he sold items for cash. Is this how players are being paid now? If so, is it limited to Florida or widespread among other schools as well?
Police got involved on Aug. 15, after the bookstore’s management alerted them to a possible fraud case. The bulk of the alleged crimes occurred in July and August. The first fraudulent transactions alleged by police: Telfort making several attempts to add money to his bookstore account on June 26. Three attempts were declined before Telfort added $650 from a card belonging to a man in Hoschton, Ga., police say.

Being Florida and involving college football players, it may well be swept under the rug.
The Alachua County State attorney’s office now will investigate the matter and decide whether to move forward with formal charges. The maximum possible sentence is five years in prison and $5,000 fine per charge, but first-time offenders normally would not receive such a harsh penalty, State Attorney Bill Cervone told the Orlando Sentinel.

None of the players are expected to be arrested and up to seven could qualify for a diversion program that would eventually lead to the removal of any charges from their records.

Except it hasn't been swept under the rug at all. The players have been suspended from all activities for awhile now even without being charged.

I'm talking about how much deeper it might go. These aren't really top tier players. Are others also being paid with credit cards? Were these stolen cards or were they provided for the purpose of paying players? Was this brought up by a book store employee who didn't know that it wasn't supposed to be reported. With the arrests of the basketball coaches from other schools today, are we just seeing the tip of the iceberg?

But not exactly names in the national spotlight other than this scandal.
Yeah, a WR expected to go in the first round next spring, not a name at all.

Looks like 3rd to 5th round. There are at least 7 ahead of him on every wide receiver draft board prior to the latest incident and seldom are 4 wide receivers selected in the first round. He was already a question mark because of previous problems. If Florida kicks him out he will have to go the free agent route next season. Even if he somehow manages to stay on the team, It's doubtful an NFL team will risk a high draft pick on him.

Nice win for the Canes heading into next week. Conditioning will be key.

Hollywood Hills? Lololol, USC is in University Park, an impoverished neighborhood in South Central LA.
