Law 12/30 House Passes/McConnell Intentionally Poisons The $2K Cash Act - COVID-19 Relief/Spending Bill

The next day, she voted to move the bill without the $2000. Some hack is going "yas kween" her for being brave.

"I had the idea first but then I decided to vote against it. I'm a fraud."

Let's be totally clear on why we aren't getting $2,000 instead of $600 and why it is Mitch McConnell should be given exactly what he wants to pass the $2000 COVID relief asap.

Let's start with the beginning. Democrat's proposed $1200 additional stimulus in September. The bill passes the house but dies on Mitch McConnell's desk because he refuses to bring it to a vote in the Senate. Congress officially recesses for the election without passing any additional relief because it was instead hyper focused on stealing a US Supreme Court seat, which technically may have been the correct strategic choice from the stand point of someone with no humanity who only seeks long term party power, but was terrible for the American people and small businesses because this postponed any chance of new stimulus negotiations until December and set a dangerous precedent for the next round of USSC nominations.

December comes finally and relief negotiations start back up. This time around, Trump throws a monkey wrench in the Republican $600 proposal and demands $2000. Democrats jump on board, upping their demand from $1200 to $2000, a poker player would label this "calling a bluff". Democrats pass legislature in the House right away adding $2000 stimulus per American to the COVID relief bill, effectively putting it on the Republican Senate to deny American's relief. (Thanks Trump for knee-capping your party over this!)

McConnell of course kills the bill on his desk again, refusing to bring it to a vote (it would have passed). But this time he makes a counter offer. His counter is that he'll bring the $2,000 relief per American to the floor for a vote, but he wants 2 things in exchange: 1) Repeal 230 liability protections for social media platforms and 2) Install an election fraud investigation committee.
The correct strategic answer from Democrats right now is to give McConnell exactly what he asked for, call his bluff again.

Allow me to explain why:
1) Repealing 230 would be the equivalent of the entire conservative white nationalist movement committing Seppuku, Hari Kari, suicide, your preference. Republican's seem too short sighted to understand this move would back fire, it would bring down Parler in 24 hours or less, it would cause all accounts on all platforms that could be construed as hate speech to be instantly removed.

What I'm saying is repealing 230 would instantly cause all of Trump world to disappear from every major corporation and platform online that won't want to get sued over the toxic content their people relentlessly post. They would all be gone. It would be like paradise, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter would all be cleaned up within 24 hours to avoid an avalanche of lawsuits. There wouldn't even be a company like Parler left for them to run to, for even that company would be liable and drown in lawsuits as soon as Trump world started posting their calls for secession on it.

2) The formation of an election fraud investigative committee. Great. Give it to em. Guess who will get to staff the committee? Joe Biden's legislative session of 2021. It takes time to get these things started, January 20 is rapidly approaching, we can "give" Trump his fraud committee and then Democrats will simply fill it with professionals instead of Trump radicals, the committee will quickly decide that it has no purpose since there is no evidence of wide spread election fraud and disband itself.

This is how we get $2,000 stimulus RIGHT NOW and render the GA election totally irrelevant. However, strategically for Democrats it's best this issue linger so they can continue to win in GA with the simple offer of "Would you prefer $600 or $2000, GA voters?". Ultimately, taking the Senate majority will allow for more productivity over the next 2 years to fix the messes of the last 4, which means this $600 is all anyone is going to get until at least February.

Fun side note, the Republican party has shifted dramatically to the left on fiscal spending and UBI, which we are basically on the verge of with the support of both parties for all this relief (it's important to know many Republican senators support $2000 relief, it's solely Mitch McConnell blocking it all, so it is a fair statement to say the core of the Republican party has shifted far to the left).

As COVID is eventually solved, robotics/automation will grow exponentially soon after and require more of the same, Trump has effectively pulled the party further to the left than Democrats could have hoped for, precisely $800 further left if you are counting by the numbers.

With Blue winning the Senate what happens now ?

Forget about it and hope nobody remembers ? Do the stand alone in February ? Do the relief bill but add a bunch of fluff ?
