Holy shit what is with this athleticsm fetish. Even in sports with the deepest talent pools the better athlete doesn't always win.
There have been shot putters and wrestlers with barely any football experience who've gotten into the NFL for reference. Guess NFL is full of D-level athletes.
Also, USADA. High school football wouldn't exist as it is today in super competitive states like Texas. Source: Actually played varsity sports. PEDs were the biggest open secret in high school outside of weed use.
