Social YouTube is going crazy with clickbait fake gossip

You know what else they do? Create multiple channels to make even more money.

YouTube awards you money when each channel has hit X number of subscribers. So why settle for one award?

Shouldn't YouTube have foreseen this?

People are doing this to generate money for their channels.
And it is going to get worse with deep fake.

It's just the nature of a thing. Aol/aim has the same issues once overseas users got a hold of it.
Don't worry it will pop once people realize their ads aren't selling anything.

There so much shit on YT it's not even funny. That's why I check the like and dislikes difference to see what's worth watching. If it's low dislikes and high likes, that I think the video probably worth watching.

My Dad got drawn in by this stuff, he was telling me how Stallone was an awful guy who's fallen out with all his old costars.

didn't they also demonetize AI clips? maybe they should honestly think about cleaning house. AI and this now this fake stuff should be banned.

i enjoy a channel called Bedtime Stories, about creepy events, ufos, low level chill relaxing stuff like that. for about half a year, my page has been overrun by channels that are almost similar but when you click on the clips you can immediately tell it's AI, and there's massive quantities of it - clips are an hour long, it's narrated by an AI that has issues speaking numbers so 2033 let's say is pronounced as two zero three three.
in a couple of years it will be mostly AI and indistinguishable.
it's absolutely horrifying.

And the examples I brought up? Do you view it as spam or does it disturb you at a deper level to realize it's systematic?

In case it's not clear by now; Chuck Norris was not a tyrant to his wife and Selleck wasn't glad that Gardner died.

there's guardrails against spam.
against this, not so much. it's like a ddos attack on a network. you won't be able to FIND the clips you want and will just get pages and pages of shit similar to it but not it.

On moral grounds?

good question. i don't think it's for moral grounds, it's to protect the platform from an endless amount of cheap, mass produced, slop that degrades their platform. some AI can be well made but maybe they need to have better standards.

It will be much worse. Law of averages over large scale creates "miracles". Imagine if by sheer chance an AI predicts several years because there will be billions of them and one got it right. A magical 8 ball god.
