Hey guys. Thought this might be an idea for a fun thread. I recently discovered that my loose copy of WWF No Mercy was worth $500+ because I have the rare version of the game that doesnt glitch and eliminate your save file each reset. I had no idea it was worth so much so it quickly vaulted over my other prized games like a complete copy of Super Mario Land 2, Castlevania Bloodlines, Power Stone (all of which I had on special display). I was just wondering if y'all had any rare or cool games that you were particularly proud of pleased with?

I have several extremely rare NES games. Even though some are incredibly rare, they aren't worth a whole lot (relatively) compared to a lot of more common games due to collectors' lack of knowledge or desire to collect them.

Some of my more cherished gems:

Probably the rarest licensed game ever

I have all 4 variations of this

Papillon Gals
No online image for this game. Supposedly only a couple full NTSC copies are known to exist. Obtained directly from the company in Taiwan prior to them shutting down.

One of the 150 promotional copies of this

I have every year of these, with 2008 being the rarest. This is a homebrew release but highly sought after and collectable. Only ~50 of these released.

I've had a few prototypes. Not super interested in those, but I guess they are unique. Would only be super interested if it were an unreleased prototype of a game that was super special to me as a kid.

I like that Duck Tales collection. It reminds me of a copy of TMNT 2 that I had for the NES. I still had the coupon for Pizza Hut that expired in 1989 or 1990. I sold it and much of my collection about a decade ago when I kinda lost my head a little. That is one I definitely wish I had back. Killer game too

I never collected games or anything, but I still have my Planescape: Torment and Baldurs gate games in their original folder/cover things. Could never bring myself to throw em out.

Contra Hard Corps CIB (plastic box, not cardboard)
Resident Evil Director's Cut CIB (and with demo for RE2)

I had quite a few more (Lunar 1&2, black label SOTN, Suikoden 1) but I sold them in 2017. And now they're worth twice as much. :/

I have quite a few rare SNES and Saturn games. Earthbound and Act Raiser are probably the rarest on snes.

I have Dragon Force on Saturn which is pretty rare and also a great game. They should really rerelease that game it was very unique.

For PC I still own the maps and manuals from Ultima V and VI, though the games are long gone. They were on hard disks/floppy disks and I got those from my dad as I am not quite old enough to have played those when they were new. I also still own the cds and manuals for the Myth games which were amazing games. I don’t think those are worth anything but I love those games.

How do you know which wwf no mercy has the glitch?

I was thinking of getting an n64 again and wanted to pick up all the classic wrestling games on the system ?

It’s doubtful I know but if anyone has any cool or rare games they’d be interested in selling I’ve been trying to buy a lot of games from my child hood lately and it’s become kind of an addiction.

PM me if you have anything.

As far as the thread topic my best stuff has been a sealed Super Mario 7 stars and sealed paper Mario for N64.

If y'all have old strategy guides in decent condition then you better check Ebay first before just taking them to Goodwill. I've got a Chrono Trigger Nintendo Power guide I paid $20 for years ago and it's going for over $150 now.

I have a full licensed NES set, among a few thousand other games. My most prized is a sealed Legend of Zelda. I bought that almost 20 years ago for like $30 at a used game shop.

Nothing really spectacular

Final Fight Guy that was only available at Blockbuster probably. My friend kept it as a kid and they obviously went out of business so he eventually gave it to me.

I've always loved those penny tables.

Probably Pokemon Yellow, Blue or Red

Did you actually make that table sir?

Yes I did. Went to the bank and got a box of pennies, cleaned them in a solution of silver cleaner, then went to town with super glue. I couldn’t figure out a way to do an epoxy finish without making a mess so it’s just raw dogging.

It actually looks better the way you did it because you still get the texture of the pennies...im so sick of the epoxy bullshit.

People over played it for me sir lol.
