3 fights now and Izzy's usual game plan of outpointing Alex has failed.
Izzy's best bet at winning is to exploit Alex's non-existent grappling. Alex must have the worst ground game I have ever seen from any MMA champion ever.
But I don't think Izzy is willing to leave his comfort zone and grapple with Alex for 5 rounds.
So what's Izzy's game plan?
Go all out on Alex and secure the finish early.
Izzy is more than capable of finishing his opponents but he typically favors risk-adverse point fighting over aggressive finishes. Izzy almost dropped Potent at the end of the 1st round and I believe he can get the finish if he truly wants it. Potent won't be expecting it either. There's nothing for Izzy to lose and using the same formula for the 4th time would be a completely wasted opportunity.
Izzy is cringey and sus, I know, but he the real deal. Potent finna learn that there's levels to MMA and you can't just skip the queue. Haters, don't @ me.
