Izzy's best bet at winning is to exploit Alex's non-existent grappling. Alex must have the worst ground game I have ever seen from any MMA champion ever.

But I don't think Izzy is willing to leave his comfort zone and grapple with Alex for 5 rounds.

So what's Izzy's game plan?

Go all out on Alex and secure the finish early.

Izzy is more than capable of finishing his opponents but he typically favors risk-adverse point fighting over aggressive finishes. Izzy almost dropped Potent at the end of the 1st round and I believe he can get the finish if he truly wants it. Potent won't be expecting it either. There's nothing for Izzy to lose and using the same formula for the 4th time would be a completely wasted opportunity.

you are right. That’s the reason why he won’t do what you claim he will going to do. there is no way that he goes all for it in the first round. That’s not his comfort zone.
His comfort zone is leg kicking from distance with his reach and try to win the fight on points.

remember when he had a big mouth before the fight against Romero?
He promised everyone to FIGHT him.
He tried until he was caught. He turned it into the most boring fight ever.
Pereira is million times better in the striking than Romero.

Adesanya is going to try to outpoint him again.

Izzy doesn't blitz. As you are well aware. But he does have to ramp up the pressure and the pace of the fight.

Izzy has to keep this fight going at 100 miles per hour and we'll see who's brain works better at that pace.

Last fight was pretty high paced though so we'll see

There is no clear game plan for Izzy to win this fight. If he fights at range Alex will walk him down and land the better strikes like in the last fight. If he fights aggressively Alex will counter him and land the bigger strikes. If he tries to wrestle, Alex will stop the TDs and tire Izzy out. Izzy has to rely on Alex making mistakes to have any real chance of winning.
