A true unique attraction, kind of like Andre The Giant, in his own way.

Won the belt at just 26 yrs old. His time at the top was short but significant. He held the belt for almost a whole year. By all accounts he was a great guy and shared his wealth with his family. Rikishi says Yoko helped him out financially when they were all in the WWE at that time. Undertaker was desperate at the time to work with a big man who could really go like this, and they became friends, eventually forming the Bone Street Krew.

Dude could really move for a big man, it was amazing. It's a shame he couldnt keep his weight under control. RIP.

I've heard many, many stories about what a nice guy Yoko was. Shame the poor guy died so young. He looked like he would be a big, happy Polynesian dad surrounded by lots of family members.

Yeah man, I think about this alot.

He could be like Rikishi.

Yoko as Kokina from a Dark Match 1992. Look how good he moves. Just annihilated the guy. Might as well throw him on the grill then eat him. Squashed him thinner than Chicken Fried Steak.

Rikishi gave his son Solo Sikoa the middle name Yokozuna to honor him. Solo's real name is Joseph Yokozuna Fatu lol

Here's Yoko with a little Solo

A great talent who benefited massively from the steroid scandal and Vince transitioning to giant fat guys instead of giant steroid guys.

I dont think that's correct.

There wasnt a transition to giant fat guys. Vince went to Bret Hart because he knew Bret could be counted on, and was obviously not relying on steroids to be over.

Yokozuna was a talent that would be recognized regardless of what was going on in WWE at the time. It was the combination of his unique physique, but also how quickly he could move in the ring. It made him a great attraction, and there wasnt anyone else out there that was like him.

Also Vince knows how to make monsters, and they hit paydirt with this guy.

What giant fat guys? These were all of the World Champions between 1994 and the Attitude Era.
