Yair Rodriguez on Makhachev vs. Volkanovski: "There is a really small number of fighters that can hold two divisions because it's super hard. Holding one is hard, holding two is really hard. I think Volk is one of those fighters that can hold two divisions. If he is able to conquer the 155 division, I think he'll probably want to fight in the 145 division which is going to be really interesting to see. But he still has to face Islam and I think Islam is a really tough opponent for anybody."
Yair Rodriguez on Josh Emmett fight: "I expect a superhuman. I expect the best version of himself because I don't really look down on anybody. I'm not looking past this guy. I am sure of what he's capable of doing to deliver the hard punches and the cardio. I'm sure he's a great opponent. I'm here to win and he's here to win as well. It's going to be a war."
Taking inspiration from Brandon Moreno: "I saw him go through really hard moments in his career and his life. I'm sure he deserves this 100 percent. He's proof of whenever you put all your effort into whatever you want, regardless of what you do, it's going to be there one day. You have to keep dreaming and believing that you can do it and eventually things will happen."
UFC potentially having four Mexican champions by year's end: "It'll be like a dream come true. It's good thinking about it. I visualize myself with the belt and I visualize my friends with the belts..."
