Lol, now that Shields (and fighters like Okami) have been cut I find myself going out of my way to watch their fights in the new orgs.

I never really went out of my way to watch their fights in the UFC, but now I find myself getting excited for their fights. Maybe it's like a cross between a pity watch and wanting to see just how dominant a top 10 UFC fighter is over fighters in another org.

Once again, doesn't really make sense, but just something I noticed.

I was sort of looking forward to seeing what a guy that is (19 - 23 - 0) looks like. :icon_sad:

I had Hill on all my Kountermove teams for a very probable easy finish win over Hicks :(

Whew! I thought I was going to miss the prelims. I never knew how to access them until I clicked here.

Still hard for me to fathom that both Shields and Okami were cut after one loss and being ranked in the top ten. People might think they were boring-but at the end of the day, these guys were top ten fighters who were exceptional in the skillset they had.

Last time i checked- MMA was not boxing but "Mixed Martial Arts" consisting of BJJ, Grappling, Wrestling, etc. It is a joke to me that it took 5 straight losses to cut guys like Leonard Garcia, who is basically a brawler, but guys like Okami and Fitch were let go after one loss, despite being in the top ten. Anyways, just my thoughts. Shields by UD.

I have read a fair bit about Ryan Ford over the years but never seen him fight. can he trouble shields on the floor?

They were good fighters but being a below contender level boring fighter has never been the most lucrative gig in combat sports and that wasn't going to change with Fitch and Shields.

I'm really hyped to see Shields again! I hope that he gets the submission!
