Dr. Manhattan and Peter North are bums appeared to my distance shooting skills

My friends finally found a pair of size fifteen ice skates and press-ganged me into going skating with them. It was my first time.

Turns out I'm a lot closer to a Super Dave Osbourne than I am to an Elvis Stojko. It was a painful realization that i'm still reflecting on while lying incapcitated on my couch.

I was the only African dude there, and it quickly became a spectacle: soon all these tiny children were swarming around me trying to teach me how to skate while their parents swilled hot chocolate and laughed and laughed and laughed.

The children meant well but I'm begging them: "Flee children, for once I start to fall I won't be able to stop!" But they didn't listen.

No one ever listens.

Lol. The children were doing backwards crossovers in circles around you, taunting ''who's explosive and athletic now!?''

No option for Dolan Duck?

I had a similar experience to this back when I ran D1 track in college and one of my best buds (who was from Cleveland) came to visit over here.

Dude was super athletic and looked it, but out on the water all these fat Hawaiians were zipping around him while it was all he could do to keep from drowning.

It's a whole different ball game when you take friction out of the equation. I was trying to teach my aussie friend how to skate backwards this winter. It's a work in progress.
