We don't have poppy seed hot dog buns large enough to hold a 1/4 pound Nathans Colossal hot dog. But this is my take on a Chicago Dog. Everything is self explanatory, but i added salt and celery seed on the tomatoes. And fuck that celery salt bullshit. I want to see and taste whole celery seeds. And i like to control the amount of salt i add. Theres already enough salt in the hot dogs.

Yes.

Good homemade version of a Chicago dog, Sherbrah.

The vegetables really.

My favorites are chili cheese or a nice Carolina dog (mustard, coleslaw, hot sauce, and celery salt.)
Yeah i wasn't sure i would like the tomatoes, but they work well. I am partial to a few lehigh valley dogs. One being chili, raw onions, and spicy brown mustard. Another being a "Jimmy" dog which is basicly the same thing with pickle spears similar to the Chicago dog. And obviously the Nathans Coney with Sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard.
These are East Coast Staples.

I don't know if its a thing, but i make a "picnic dog" which is baked beans and coleslaw. I made them for a bunch of kids at one of my sons birthday party's and they loved them. I tried one, and it was pretty damn good.

Grilled, for sure. Gotta have grilled onions too.

Mustard and relish.

No ketchup tho cause I'm not a :eek::eek:
No Ketchup. Thats disgusting. I only put Ketchup on extra well done steak.

No veggies and I prefer brown spicy mustard.
Same with the spicy brown, but i was going traditional Chicago which uses yellow mustard. Its not bad. But i would use spicy brown for any other dog.

LOL. You're slippin', bro. Chicago hot dogs are fucking retarded. It's like two drunks were trying to outdo each other at what kind of dumb shit to put on a dog.

"Yeah, lets put some peppers on it."
"And, and some pickles. Oh. Oh. How about tomatoes?"
"Fucking brilliant. Pickles spears."
"Neon relish."
"Celery salt."
"What the fuck is that?"
"Who cares, I have some in the back of my spice cabinet that I haven't ever used."
