Tom's father/coach laid out the plan for Tom to fight out the remaining 3 fights under his UFC contract and then venture into boxing

Possibly, because he won't have to worry about eye pokes. It's still possible to take a thumb to the eye in a boxing glove but at least it's padded.

PS. Tom used to train boxing under Peter Fury for about 2 years and is 1-0 as a pro. It isn't entirely new to him.

He’ll get lit up …he doesn’t have real top quality boxing using pure boxing to get big fights and actually win against top guys .

Only guy I see that does the small stuff correctly is Ganes who could make adjustments he’s got the natural boxing ability and he was easily frustrating Tom bf the poke with punches l

He’ll be as successful as Ngannou.
Highly doubtful, Ngganou arguably beat Fury and has wins over Takam years ago in exhibition fights , Ngganou spent years on his striking they are completely in different leagues, can’t see much with Aspinall bc his grappling and striking work together and he’s a grappling guy at heart , a few knockouts in UFC always seems to go to ppls heads .

Honestly no, but he can make money going on the Jake Paul/MMA crossover circuit.

People who think Ngannou won more than 1 round against Fury are all MMA fans who can’t score fights.

Even a great "MMA boxer" is leagues below the boxers at the highest level. They are banking on his fame as a UFC star to get him big money fights in boxing but it's a stupid strategy unless he can be competitive, which he won't be. He can probably beat some lower level guys, but that means he won't be getting big pay days. He'll have to improve his boxing and work his way up like the rest of them, but is he young enough to start over in a new sport? His best bet is to fight Jake Paul, but Paul won't fight him because he isn't old or small enough.

Ngganou was an outlier in the Fury fight and that fight alone. We saw what happened when he fought AJ, who isn't at the top anymore himself.

At heavyweight the difference isn't as glaring. Attributes alone can take you pretty far. To have any kind of longevity at the top level though you do need to have some actual boxing skills.

When Francis vs AJ I said in my thread, AJ hits him dead. 😵 there’s levels to this game. It’s disrespectful to the sweet science seeing guys not even amateurs making the walk.

No fan of Francis and I enjoyed the clubbing. It’s funny. 😆 Francis thinks he was drugged or something.

Nope. That’s called eating a HW overhand right.

No because he’s way too late to the game and won’t have chance to perfect all the nuances of boxing. He is physically blessed as a fighter though. He could do relatively well if he crossed over now but he’s not winning titles or even gonna be a genuine contender. To be that fighter he’d have to have far more experience than he can gain at this point. Boxing is a sport where you can get to a decent level pretty quickly, which is why it’s so good for self defence, but it takes many many years to really master

This surprised me so I dug a little deeper and the only record I found even referring to this was an Instagram post from Francis saying that this happened. And Francis is a true blue African scam artist so I refuse to take him at his word on anything (PFL would have been wise to do the same).

He and Takam have been sparring partners in the past, though... but it ends there.

like many UFC fighters, when they become successful they realize the money ceiling, being ufc champ is worth more away from the ufc lol

i find it hilarious white is coming into boxing with the tease of a 80/20 split 🤑

I’m sure he was being sarcastic and hinting that Aspinall would get knocked out like Francis did against AJ.

No answer for Gane's jab in MMA rules, no reason to think he'd do any better against guys who can box under boxing rules.
