Miesha Tate says she's done being 'pushed around' by UFC

Miesha Tate still seems peeved over losing her shot at Ronda Rousey.
Tate was penciled in to face the UFC women's bantamweight champ following her unanimous decision victory over Jessica Eye at UFC on FOX 16 in July, but it wasn't meant to be.
On Aug. 21, Rousey announced on Good Morning America that she'd be fighting Holly Holm instead. Tate found out when everyone else did.
UFC president Dana White spun the news saying it was in the best interest of Tate's career, but the contender responded by saying she was "offended" that White was "counting her out."
A few weeks removed from the bad news, Tate's relationship with the UFC doesn't sounds any less frigid.
"I think more things are going to have to be contractually agreed upon, not verbally," Tate told Ground and Pound TV. "That's what happens when you can't come to a verbal trust point. I'm going to have to have things written down from now on."
With the Rousey bout falling through, Tate had been rumored to be in talks to face Amanda Nunes. Tate denied the rumors during the broadcast of Invicta FC 14, saying her team hadn't been in contact with UFC officials.
"I'm very frustrated with the UFC," said Tate. "I'm not in a position where I feel like I need to be pushed around and, 'Oh, you take this fight, take that fight.' It makes no sense to me why I'm not the champion and yet I'm fighting all the No. 1 contenders. Amanda Nunes is ranked No. 4 and Holm is ranked No. 8.
"What is wrong with that picture? I'm not the champ and I'm fighting better girls than the champion is fighting and I'm not getting paid what the champion is getting paid. It's the champion's job to fight the best girls in the world. When I'm the champion, we'll talk."
Rousey most recently rolled through then-ranked No. 5 Bethe Correia Aug. 1 at UFC 190 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, scoring a KO in just 34 seconds. Last week, Rousey stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show and remarked that she was the UFC's highest paid athlete.
"I'm just in an awkward stage of my career," said Tate. "I don't know what the next best step for me is but I do know I'm not going to be pushed around by anybody."
