Full camp volk. Don't be stupid folks. Volk is the best in the world and he had a full camp to prepare for you. That is more difficult.

Volk now is short notice and didn't even get to prepare himself fully physically for a fight - and you have already fought him before. This is a better matchup for Islam.

That being said, I am still not counting out Volk. He's THAT good.

A finish against an undercooked Volk who he already beat fairly comfortably a few months ago won't be as impressive imo.

Are you new here? It's sherdog, outcomes don't matter, it's whether you like or hate a fighter. If you like a fighter, there's an excuse for every loss, and if you hate a fighter, there is literally nothing they can do to convince you otherwise. There's either an excuse for why their opponent lost if you're a fan of the opponent, or they were never that good if you're not, and they're "exposed" if they ever eventually lose a fight

that shit was so funny. i cant remember who it was, maybe that idiot Megan Anderson; they had Volk at #1 and their reasoning was basically (paraphrasing) "well Volk lost but i thought he looked so good through the whole fight and it was against a bigger guy and the end of round 5 was super exciting so i still have Volk at #1 because i thought he won".
further proof that the p4p list is a fun fan concept, nothing more.

to answer the thread question, i think a finish of Volk would be very impressive. Ortega nearly ripped his neck off and still couldnt finish Volk. the guy is just a concentrated boulder of durability and grit.
