Id personally still love to see this. I think Francis stock hasnt really gone down with his two boxing losses and redeemed a little with tonights victory.

If it could happen and Dana would pay Francis what he wants to fight Jones, would people still want to see this?

Yes, as long as it's sometime within a year. They are both getting too old, seriously. Bones is 37. Ngannou is 38. Fucking a, I hate it when the universe waits until 2 fighters are old, before they finally fight!

I think it would largely depend on how the Stipe vs Jon fight plays out. If Jon runs through Stipe it most definitely would still be huge as Francis just ran through PFL's HW champ like butter showing he is still very much a threat.

Id still like to see it but I don't think it would be a huge ppv draw. Frank has never been a draw. Doubt it would hit a million

It would do decent numbers but IMO Jones' popularity has significantly waned. He's only had 2 fights in nearly 5 years and had a string of lackluster performances before that. It's been nearly a decade since we saw "Prime Jones" on a consistent basis and considering the high turnover of fans MMA has, I think new fans don't care much about Jones (hence why Dana has to hype him to the moon at every turn to keep him relevant) because they hardly ever see him fight and when he does, he typically underperforms against pretty crap competition. To them, he's the drug cheat who is always in the news for something negative. He feels like a paper champion now which is crazy considering how good he was in 2011-2014.

Ngannou is still an ok name (was never huge to begin with in MMA) but I don't think many boxing fans hop over to buy UFC cards. It'd prob do 600-800K buys but doubt it cracks a million buys

YES, OF COURSE. The 2 baddest men on the planet. The 2 champions of MMA facing off. One real belt holder vs the other real belt holder. This would be the biggest PPV since McGregor v Poirier 2. No pretenders allowed!

Hard to believe these responses are for real

Ngannou became an international superstar after Fury no matter what happened after & Jones, assuming he beats Stipe, is an undefeated living legend & an active goat

The whole boxing world knows & basically respects Francis & people are comparing him to Aspinall?

Jones v Ngannou is probably the biggest mma fight that can be made today

The Saudi's would pay them 20 mil a piece to fight if not for Bones being under UFC contract. That's got to be eating Jon up as he once stated he'd need over 15 million to fight Francis.
Too bad Jones is locked into a contract. If people want to know why Dana has been slagging off Jones so hard it's because Jones caved on his salary instead of sticking to his guns.

If Jones is too scared to tarnish his legacy and lose on Aspinall for the biggest payday of his career, why would he fight Francis?

Aspinal has one PPV fight in entire career.

No one knows who he is.

If he lost to Jones (or Gane) he would be forgotten faster than Gane was

He's just this weeks Jones killer and not really in the equation here

It’s not the universe. It’s always the favorite. Just like how Mayweather did Pacquiao. Jones could have fought Ngannou years ago but chose to sit out for excuses upon excuses.
They’re both making more money crushing inflatable cans now with no risks tho, so that’s what it’s become.

Greedy promoters are to blame too. The ufc could have and should have let itself be associated with the Fury fight, but they needed to monopolize their talent in the case of Francis and they made it an ultimatum.

Blame Jones first, then the UFC. That’s why this fight never happened when it first could have.

Tom got a lot of exposure since he started going at Jon in the media.

People are rallying behind him because he's a potential UK star, knockout killer, and the betting favourite to beat Jon.

Nobody has ever been favoured against Jon. The public would be tuning in to watch Jon get his first true loss. Massive fight.

Google said he made $8,000,000 tonight and was allegedly offered $8,000,000 to fight Jon.

It would be one of the biggest HW fights ever.

Fight needs to happen sooner than later.

I dont want to see them at BKFC 300 at the sphere.
