After watching the Peters/Chambers fight I got to thinking of all the really shitty trainers that have name fighters.
I actually know Pops Anderson a little bit and he is a horrible trainer he knows basicly zero about preparing a fighter for competition as is obvious by Sam Peters not being in shape for this fight and a few other fights.
Boza Edwards is also a pretty terrible trainer but he is more terrible because he is out to make money for himself and uses his fighters up to do so.
Jack Mosely is a pretty bad trainer at least to have in your corner for advice.
Repo Rick lol yes he trains fighters and no he isnt any good at it.
Stacy Goodson "trains" fighters or at least says he does he also manages them into being cannon fodder for other fighters

Most good trainers don't want to work with a lazy slob like Peters.

Yeah they were trying to get Teddy Atlas to work with awhile ago I think and for that reason he said no.
Peters needs someone who pushes him hard for him to get into shape. He has all yes men around him from the looks of it.

I heard Margarito's trainer is pretty horrible.

It's easy to blame the trainers, rather than the fighters.

Panama Lewis should still be in jail if he isn't already..

hands down goosen bros!

No way, Joe Goosen always given good advice between rounds, and seems to be with fighters long term. He brought us the Ruelas bros. and will be remembered in the 10th rd of the Chico/Castillo fight.

In the UK its Carl Greaves and Dean Powell both know fuck all, Greaves got interviewed about his fighter who had come over to train with him before a fight and he was himming and hawwing for about a minute before he said anything about him

Hey Indian, it's Samuel Peter, not Samuel Peters.

Buddy McGirt is arguably one of the worst trainers in Boxing. He attempts to get his charges, regardless of their skill-set or body type to Fight exactly as he did when he was in his Prime. He can't teach different styles. He's given terrible advice "use yah jab babeh", and he's had a plethora of Champs come to him only to lose their belts.

That and he's not very good with etiquette, has a reputation for going to Gyms and attempting to steal Fighters.

I'd also cast a vote for Yoel Judah. I've met Yoel and liked him a lot, but how much more obvious could it be that the Father/Son tandem of he and Zab just isn't working out?

Buddy Is a pretty god awful trainer. ''You losing this fight! You losing this baby!Show me something or I'm stopping it!I mean it". Pop the jab baby, pop the jab". etc

But the worst has got to be Enzo Calzaghe his training camps are awful, no sparring partners? Wtf...But his advice is even worse. His performance in the last maccarinelli fight was nothing short of awful.

Had a lot of fighters maneuvered into Wbo title shots by Warren and was riding high for a while, but all of whom have subsequently been smashed.

Wow,i never would have thought that about Buddy, but i never knew anyone who trained with him.

Hows your new trainer?

Hows your new trainer?

Erm, I don't have a new trainer. I have the same trainer who is actually pretty excited about the possibility of working with you.

well that certainly didn't take long

I do what I can to answer questions in a timely fashion.

I would have to say Buddy Mcgirt is just over rated he seems to laid back and is always ready to throw the towel in instead of encourage and building morale for his fighter to dig deep. The guy has a itchy towel finger.

To me it has to be Jack Loew who is Kelly Pavliks Trainer and Yoel Judah.

Jack Mosley also has some horrendous advice in the corner.

Aaron Snowell and Jay Bright.

In Tyson's corner when Tyson got knocked out by James Buster Douglas.

Even Freddie Roach couldn't get James Toney to drop all that fat.

The only advice I have ever heard him give is to double jab. When Pavlik was getting twatted by Hopkins he was completely sheepish in the latter rounds and told Pavlik to just get through the fight. Whether that was due to Pavlik having bronchitis or he just couldnt think of anything constructive to say, I dont know.

yup and then Miguel Diaz the cut man took over lol thats how sad the guy is when your cut man tells you to hold the spit bucket and he is giving kelly instructions you know something is wrong.

Jack Leow seemed to have Kelly totally unprepared for what Hopkins was going to try to do in their fight. All he ever said to do was double up the jab, round after round, after it obviously wasn't working.
