I'm not sure I'd make such an absolute statement without contextualizing it. Some elements in Islam are worse and some elements in feminism are worse, mainly because not everyone adheres to these ideologies in the same ways.

This instance does not strike me as an egregious act coming from the feminist community. They want to run a church where women lead. I say it's a positive thing given Islam's tendency for subjugation, and it's this type of thing that may usher a reformation.

I don't really see the downside, though granted it is just as likely to fail than it is to succeed.

I've seen you draw that comparison before and I think there's merit to it. Some 20th century Islamic thinkers like Ali Shariati were very much influenced by Marxist ideas directly. With a guy like Qutb I have to think the influence was a little less direct than it was with Shariati but I could see it, the whole revolutionary aspect of it does sound very Marxist.

Marxism is a good recipe for fomenting unrest and revolution, so anyone wanting to do that would be wise to study and implement it (tailored to the target population of course) on those grounds.

This is actually good. It's a tiny, tiny step towards reformation. What they're doing is they're pointing out that segregating men and women in mosques isn't a canonical interpretation of the religion, it's not written in the Quran and I assume it's not shown by the Sirah. You have to remember that there's 1.8B of them brainwashed into the religion, they genuinely believe it's the word of god. They won't be convinced with critical thinking or logic - but they can be convinced by being shown that the interpretation they have of the word of god is incorrect. To get through to an idiot, you have to use idiot language. We didn't even have to do anything, presumably the Muslim women got infected by the liberal environment they grew up in - and now they're infecting back into Islam.

I'm kind of curious to see which way SJWs will go on this. It gets pretty entertaining when they have to pick between feminism and Islam. It's a fun start for the San Francisco newspaper to call sexual segregation "empowering" to women.

Ultimately, current feminists are arguing for segregation between the sexes. Many feminists say that women cannot compete against men and need special treatment and privileges granted by the society in order to gain the same status as males because women do not thrive in competitive and hierarchical environments in the same way males do.

Oh I agree. Just like communism and socialism doesn't mean equality for everyone like it does in the western developed rich Anglo/Germanic world.

Communists in say Vietnam don't want cultural marxism. Just like Castro didn't. Even the USSR didn't but instead of USSR promoting white racism via state ideology it promoted equality of all whites and Asian groups and middle eastern derived groups who originated within the USSR borders with a de-facto preference for ethnic Russians.
