Not sure how many people outside of Canada are familiar with this case, but last week 2 young siblings age 4 and 6 went missing in the province of Nova Scotia and have still not been found. From everything I know about the story the mom and stepdad are very suspicious, but that's another conversation.

The thread is about last night's press conference by the RCMP. There is 2 small children missing, it's looking less and less likely that they'll ever be found alive, and you would think that this would be the one and only concern on everyone's mind in this situation, but no, before anything else was discussed the RCMP made sure to put fucken land acknowledgements first and foremost when addressing the situation.

If these kids were my family and I was attending this circus it's very likely I would have walked up that cop and spit in her face, what a joke of a country we live in... "Mig-magee peoples and African Nova Scotians"?? What the fuck does any of this shit have to do with the missing kids and is this really the time and place to bring in your woke garbage? Canada is just pathetic man, is this still a thing in the US too?

It starts around the 17 second mark of the video.

I agree about the land acknowledgement; that could have come at the end if it were deemed that important.

[Edit: so far--] The only suspect thing about the parents is that there are no other suspects and no one knows where the kids could have gone that would make them so hard to find. So, I'd agree with a thorough search of the entire premises but if nothing turns up, they should be presumed innocent unless/until new evidence turns up. It's a terribly sad situation no matter how you look at it.

I think there’s a lot of suspicious things there, their stories are inconsistent for one, but then there’s also the fact that the mother has now left the stepfather and blocked him on social media. Then the fact that the children have not been in school that entire week and the stepfather was not at work on that Friday When the kids supposedly went missing. Also, just watching their behaviour when being interviewed, there’s just something off about them and they don’t seem to be acting as I would imagine parents would act if they genuinely had no idea what happened to their kids. The whole story just seems off, two tiny little kids just decided to put their shoes on and wander off into the forest while their parents slept in, I would be shocked if that was actually what happened.

Yeah, this is VERY weird - the complete opposite of the togetherness you usually see when a couple's kid goes missing.

Land Acknowledgements are the stupidest most pathetic example of woke virtue signalling of all time. Maybe one time, one guy in the back with a learning disability and a drinking problem got up and said "wait the white people did WHAT !?!? "

If you can't tell you are brain washed, maybe having to recite a ritual at every public event to be a part of the in group should ring some bells.

How about we acknowledge history by not constantly lying about/erasing the parts we don't like ?

I agree thiat was wildly out of context. Random token gesture- public acknowledgement that means precisely nothing and doesn't help anyone but makes someone feel like they are a good person doing a good deed. I don't think it is as pernicious as some of the things the right says, but fortunately I am an independent nowadays, so I'm not represented by ANY of these morons.

They should be following all leads. But sheer probability here would point to the parents- they need to be heavily interrogated first thing.

It’s the RCMP pal….first day?

I’d put more faith in the policing ability of the actors who portrayed the Keystone Cops!!
