Will we ever see a Boston Crab in MMA?

It is very effective in pro wrestling and we have seen it before in other MMA orgs.

Who will win by Walls of Jericho in the UFC?

No because it's not a real submission. There's not sufficient control via the opponents legs. He can just crawl out the back in real life and have the opponents back. This shit only works on fake scripted fighting with a cooperating opponent

I feel like submissions should have a tiered bonus pay to them. Twister, Boston Crab and gogoplata would be the best paying tier. $20k on top of what ever other bonuses for UFC.

I've subbed an opponent with a Boston Crab, it's legit.

We'll see it about the same time we see people distracting the ref and laying out the ref with a steel chair.

...in other words, never.

I mean if you could ever get your opponent in the position that shit hurts. But anybody that’s halfway competent in the ground is not getting caught in that. You might see it on the regional scene again, but highly unlikely it ever happens in top organization like UFC or Bellator.

youre a fookin goof

OP contradicts title.

You literally posted a clip of the technique in question being exacted.

And they do work. My buddy showed me a triangle escape that works into the crab if player B doesn’t release and scramble.

I am a BJJ purple belt and I aint gonna lie I had to google Boston Crab as I had never even heard of it. I find it hard to believe anyone could end up in that position assuming the other opponent has any defensive technique. I have been in weird positions before but never that. I doubt any who legit trains would end up there in the first place.

what about a camel clutch?
steiner recliner?
sharpshooter?
torture rack?
figure four leg lock?

from doing this shit with friends i can confirm they can hurt but actually locking them on to any opponent seems impossible in MMA.

Really good idea.

Strikes too, like a crescent kick, spinning backfist, butterfly kick...

When I first started MMA and BJJ right in the first day I tried to Boston crab a well known UK MMA Legend in rolling. This was like 12 years ago

Most of them sounds like sexual positions...

I like it
