Yup, it’s just a giant cope. They’ve been waiting years to see the Khabib team lose. Umar was literally 2-3 strikes from winning that fight in Rd 5, and the number of times I’m hearing that he was “exposed” or “humiliated” lmaoo. You would’ve thought he was Peyton Talbott!

It's a counter reaction to them having to deal with the overbearing muslim/Dagistani fanbase. Not that it excuses it, just setting it in context. I doubt most of them care much about religion, they just use it to troll the muslim fanbase. Both sides have been immature and toxic, IMO.

I don't think Paddy has the same physical abilities as Dricus. Skill wise they may be on par, but Dricus is strong as fuck for the division and fights like he's possessed.

Plus DDP has the ability to finish other guys standing (KO power) and on the ground via GnP or submissions. He also has more proven TDs and wrestling than Paddy. He's finished elite guys like Whittaker and Izzy. That's a lot more than you can say for Paddy. He couldn't finish Ferguson, who's still durable, but has been finished by Gaethje, Nate Diaz (lol) and Bobby Green (another lol).

As far as I’m aware the toxic Dagi fanbase doesn’t openly denigrate Christianity or Christian fighters because they’re Christian….are some/many of them shitheads? Yes. But the side that most deliberately boils the conflict down to religion are the anti-Dagi fanbase. Often times the hate actually has nothing to do with the toxic Dagi fanbase, it’s simply a carry over from their domestic politics since Muslims/islam are the enemy dejure among conservative movements across the West and the mma fanbase is overwhelmingly conservative.

He has a good social media personality so it's in Dana's interest to keep him moving up, but at the moment I think the amount of exposure he gets isn't really backed up by his record yet, kind of similar to Shavkat

I'm not saying they are attacking on the religious front. They are just attacking anybody who critizices their fighters and the opponents of their fighters.

The other side attacks the muslim aspect, because that's what works and that's what is the common denominator is for most of the fanbase of the Dagistanis.

It's the attacking in itself that I think is problematic, whether it's about religion or anything else doesn't matter all that much, IMO.

And yes, there is a general anti-islamic sentiment that also plays into it, but I don't think it is the main reason. If the muslim fanbase were as humble as Khabib tries to be, I doubt very much that so many people would be so gleeful about the defeat of Umar.
