Bisping and GSP only share one common opponent in Mayhem.

In this fight Miller couldn't do a damn thing to GSP. As you can see in the gif GSP clowns him from the start. During the fight you could see the size difference, but it didn't really matter. Yes this was years before he fought Bisping, but it's the only comparison.

The next closest common opponent they have is Dan Henderson. After Dan famously knocked out Bisping, he left the UFC and went to Strikeforce. There he got worked by Shields, who afterwards left Strikeforce and went to the UFC to eventually fight GSP.

Shields couldn't do anything to GSP. In the brief grappling exchange they had, GSP just tossed him to the ground. This is the same Shields who just a year earlier destroyed Hendo at the peak of his career.

I think GSP is just as strong as a middleweight and he'll be able to wrestle Bisping just fine. No I don't think GSP will win, but I don't think he'll lose due to size.

I firmly believe I should re-watch Hendo vs Shields as I dont remember Shields "destroying" Hendo...

shields laid on top of a gassed hendo, he didnt destroy him.. hendo almost put shields away early and wore himself out

Lookin waaay too much into past performances let alone fights from the beginnings of their careers

The GSP that fought Mahem was a mother fucker, hungry and bad to the bone.

If the aliens could go back in time and snatch that gsp moments before that fight and bring him to face the red coat hed be fucked.

He lost his drive and wasn't the same, after he went to Jackson he lost his killer instinct and the drive to win.

I think he was board, he said he's gone back to his roots and been training a lot of karate again lately.

Hopefully he has that drive and want back, the most dangerous GSP was always the one that didn't have the belt but wanted to take it from someone.

That someone is Bisping, if the old hungry Georges shows up its gonna be a very bad night for the count.

If the GSP that fought Hendricks board and slow shows up its gonna be a draw as to who gets the decision , he'll try to lay on him.

Hopefully he's been banging with Loiaso(sp??) and cote again like in the old days and he comes in on fire like when he kicked mayhem in he face or charged down homie swinging as he went down.

I don't want to see any Jew Jiff shoes or restling. Just axe kicks , spinning back kicks superman punch to leg kick combos etc.

Hendo mauled Shields in the first but Shields somehow survived, and then Shields mauled Hendo for the entire remainder of the fight IIRC. You should definitely re-watch it.

If I remember correctly Shields survived an H Bomb lol. And he didn't do nothing but fight a tired Hendo after that. Nonetheless Shields won .

I don't know if size is going to be a problem. I think we'll find out in the first minute when St. Pierre goes for a double leg.

GSP will hold Bisping down and make him pay for it.

Hendo destroyed Shields. He fought with a terrible back injury and couldn't fight for the final 4 rounds. 9/10 that's a first round KO. Hendo never should have been fighting.

Also, as I'm sure many have pointed out, GSP fought Mayhem at 170. I:E Mayhem was a 170lb fighter.

Your thread is stupid.

GSP will probably win because Bisping is a shit champion. I.E; George is cherry picking. But put Romero in there and say size won't matter.

Look at the thread... seems controversial...

GSP is an old man with huge layoff. He had LCL surgeries. He has reach disadvantage. He's fighting an active fighter. It's hard fight for him.

Old GSP is dead. With time everybody diminishes.

Shields probably would have beaten fedor as he destroyed the person who annihilated fedor
