You don't see it nearly as much in boxing or kickboxing
Nope. By your logic, hooks, jabs and such shouldn't be effective because they are trained to look for them.cos in Boxing they are trained more to look for it and expect (it's called the Sweet science for a reason)

It is mostly due to how more open mma is, and also the smaller gloves.
It's a Hail Mary tactic in MMA...quick and effective, if and when it lands. You don't see it nearly as much in boxing or kickboxing
*throughThe gloves are smaller, it can get true the guard easier and harder to block.
load of rubbish. if you train combat sports you train combat sports. You have a lot of people in MMA w striking backgrounds that get outstruck and plenty of striking experts that come to MMA and get KO'd.It ISN'T so effective, hardly anybody in MMA knows any solid boxing fundamentals, that's all.
A lot of people only throw overhand lefts and rights because that's all they know.
Lol the fuck?cos in Boxing they are trained more to look for it and expect (it's called the Sweet science for a reason)
