Why is no one pushing Hendricks vs Diaz?

Rankings. Hendricks has proven himself in the UFC, Diaz is coming off a loss. Rory said if he could get past Penn he would love to challenge Diaz. There are others in the wing as well, Kampmann is coming off a loss, I assume he has medical suspension from the KO though. Koscheck and Ellenberger are great challenges, Fitch and Maia are busy.
 
Plus, rematches are cool when they make sense. I'm sure they might meet in the Octagon again, but there are PLENTY of UFC fighters Diaz has yet to be match with yet.
 
Would be a fun fight in the future, now it would be stealing Johny's shot and if Nick loses badly it would be hard to build him back up.

diaz vs gsp is a big ppv draw. the ufc wants it to happen. they will either just give him the shot or match diaz up vs someone they think he can beat or is entertaining (not someone who will try to lnp). they matched him up vs condit for this very reason. winner was supposed to be diaz but either way an exciting fight. whoops.

imo diaz will get an immidiate shot or fight alves, ellenberger, or marquardt and get a title shot with a win. diaz vs marquardt for #1 contender actually makes a lot of sense

How does Diaz vs Marquardt make sense ? Mardquart has not been relevant in the UFC for a long time now. And he also trains with jackson just like condit does. So having him fight Diaz is pretty much the same as Diaz fighting Condit
 
Because Hendricks deserves a title shot and fighting Diaz is a pretty substantial step down from that.
 
Because nobody wants to see Diaz finish Hendricks or fight GSP for some odd reason.

nate was a top MW and has recognition as a guy who fought anderson for the title. he also has a pretty sick highlight real of brutality. nate has a good win at WW and hyping a fight vs nick as a #1 contender fight would be a good draw. a win over nick would make him a legit contender. nates not the same fighter as condit so that gameplan is not exactly a blueprint. nates also been cut before and knows that theres certain things that are career suicide

theres also tons of people talking about fitch and kos as top contenders. its true but they look like the same fighters that gsp dominated and dont generate enough interest. having them face potential #1 contenders isnt smart. if they win you actually dont have a #1 contender. guys like nate, maia, hendricks, and diaz are close enough to a title shot that maybe only 1 of them should face guys like peirce, kos, and fitch (probably maia)
 
Because Diaz takes Hendricks best shots, pitter patter punches him for 3 rounds and wins the decision.
 
Diaz would taunt Hendricks and finish him, Hendricks wouldn't KO Diaz
 
Because TS if people like you made the calls there would be only 1 championship fight every 2 years.
You cannot have all the contenders face each other until you have the "best"
Both Hendricks and Diaz are going to face GSP some day.
